Premier league

I am back,

didnt write for almost 2 weeks, but the stupid recession demands more time at work than usually. Anyway, todays football is pretty good with half Europe kicking off. I have picked ManU's and Arsenal's games in the premier league for today. Wayne Rooney will start for Manchester United after his brief return midweek (first touch first goal!) against Fulham. Sir Alex Ferguson will pick carefully tonight as he has a gruelling schedule ahead (6 games in 18 days). Blackburn will not pose a threat today and the home win should be safe. Of course the odds are unbackable. Thats where Arsenal come in. Andrey Arshavin will make his debut for Arsenal, who have Emmanuel Eboue back from suspension and defender Johan Djourou available following illness. Sunderland is just not strong enough to spoil Arshavins debut. Odds on the home win of 1.4 and the home win of ManU at 1.25 will make a decent 1.7 as a 2fold. I put my money on that.

Uefa Cup

We will pick ManCity vs Kopenhagen fir the simple reason that we need a win tonight.
Manchester City midfielder Vincent Kompany has a toe injury and is a doubt for Thursday's Uefa Cup second leg.
Manager Mark Hughes is already without fellow midfielder Nigel de Jong, who was not registered for the competition.
Winger Shaun Wright Phillips is available, as his suspension is for domestic games only, providing he can overcome an ankle injury.
Copenhagen striker Cesar Santin faces a late fitness test after he suffered a groin injury in the first leg. Manchester City boss Hughes said qualifying for the last 16 of the Uefa Cup is a priority for his team. Go for the home win at odds of 1.5.

Turkish super liga

MAn City did a good job last night, but should have won clearer and by a higher margin. Anyway, win is win. Tonight is Turkeys turn. Besiktas vs Istanbul BB . I am not even going to pretend I know anything about the opposition. The home strength of Besiktas will take care of that. The intimidating stadium and the incredible noise made by the fanatic home supporters make Besiktas almost unbeatable at home in their domestic league. Odds are at about 1.5 @)

Midweek Premier league

Yes Yes Yes,
ManU are odds on favourite to win this years premierleague again. Dont forget, they are still on for that incredible Quantiple of trophies this season. Tonight they will travel to Newcastle who are still struggling and desperate to secure their stay at the very highest level. But they are just lacking the skill. Kevin Nolan is banned, while Damien Duff, Michael Owen, Habib Beye, Danny Guthrie, Joey Barton and Xisco are still injured. Who is supposed to score goals?? Dimitar Berbatov, Wayne Rooney, Edwin van der Sar, Michael Carrick, Park Ji-Sung and Darren Fletcher will allr eturn tonight and I think a win for United is on the card. But the odds are unbackable so we will go for the United win WITHOUT conceiding, odds about 2.3.

big football weekend

:toast: I do hope there will be plenty of reasons to celebrate at te end of today. Lots of great football everywhere, I will pick the FA Cup agia, simply because its the oldest football cup in the world! the game is Fulham vs Man United. Goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar is expected to give way to either Ben Foster or Tomasz Kuszczak. Fulham's Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora should start up front but Diomansy Kamara is pushing hard after building up his match fitness in recent weeks. You will have notice that Fulham have an incredible home record this year and I do hope this will be carried forward for tonight's match. Back the AH0 Fulham at about 3.4.

UEFA Champions League

Ok, the greatest football competition on this planet is back with the 2nd leg of the last 16. Apart of Bayern Munich's thumping of Benfica in the 1. leg all matches are as open as the the question if Rafa Benitez will be at Liverpool next season or not. Chelsea vs Juventus Turin has finished 1:0 two weeks ago. The return leg is in turin at the stadio del Alpi. Juventus are not quite back to old stength. Chelsea are on 5:0 winning streak since the arrival of Guus Hiddink and are likely to keep up the unbeaton run. My money will be on the draw at odds of about 3.

2nd day of Champ League

goody, spot on last night. The 2:2 draw of Juve and Chelsea saw the english team progress and made us a decent win.
Tonight I pick Roma vs Arsenal.
Midfielders Samir Nasri and Denilson may be in contention and Eduardo and Theo Walcott may feature after playing in the FA Cup win over Burnley. Emmanuel Adebayor is out for Arsenal, who lead 1-0 from the first leg. Mikael Silvestre (calf), Cesc Fabregas (knee) and Tomas Rosicky (hamstring tendon) will also miss the match, while Andre Arshavin is ineligible. Although Roma are the slight favourites on that match, Arsenal will go through tonight. I will bet on the AH0 Arsenal at about 1.9 .

MANU vs BARCA

Manchester United centre-back Rio Ferdinand says he is fine to play against Barcelona in Wednesday's Champions League final. Jonny Evans, impressive at the back for United throughout the season, has been on stand-by to partner Nemanja Vidic in case Ferdinand fails to recover.Barcelona's Thierry Henry and Andres Iniesta appear to have overcome their injuries and trained on Monday. Barca have won the Spanish league and cup titles and reached the Champions League final in coach Guardiola's first campaign at the Nou Camp. Despite Barcelona boasting the creativity of the likes of Hernandez, Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi, United's Patrice Evra believes his team can use last year's semi-final win against their Spanish opposition as inspiration. The match has been dubbed "the dream final" by some, with two of Europe's most attacking teams and Guardiola says there is no question of his side abandoning their principles in the biggest match of the season. What else can there be said? Only that I feel like to be born for this day. I am seriously looking forward, my tip: MANU 2:1 BARCA (<)<
