WNO- what about There Goes my Life" another one I relate to very strongly...

I also lost my best friend when he was 17, car accident, actually two close friends in the same accident, both killed.

I do for different reasons watching my almost 8yr old daughter walking out the door in 10 more years....."and his American Express"

the first 50 times i listened to it , i am man enough to admit that i was wiping tears off my face..

probably one of the 10 greatest songs ever written ..

I sooooooo can relate. :103631605

Right Wing- that is why I relate to it...

I can specifically remember listening to it, with headphones on at the pool this summer and watching my daughter, it truly is a soundtrack to my life, kind of song.

These lyrics...I tell ya , he sure can write em.

""Walking along beneath the lights of that miracle mile
Me and Mary making our way into the night
You can hear the cries from the carnival rides
The pinball bells and the skeeball slides
Watching the summer sun fall out of sight
There's a warm wind coming in from off of the ocean
Making its way past the hotel walls to fill the street
Mary is holding both of her shoes in her hand
Said she likes to feel the sand beneath her feet""

another classic and knew that had destiny written all over it as I think "Summer Time", "You save me". Boys this album will squash "When the Sun Goes Down"

that is a huge statement!

I heard it will be a record breaking week for him, he was in Baltimore two days ago talking on air...

One funny thing he said, someone asked him on the radio "What album looking back are you ashamed to admit that you bought?

After he thought about it for a minute, he said Vanilla Ice LOL

He's a very down to earth mega star.

Do you think he's more popular than Tim McGraw?

The good thing about only being into country for two years is getting to hear all this at once...

i think he is now .. no way mcgraw sells out football stadiums .

i mean the only bands that have done that in the last 15 years are U2 , Rolling Stones and Pearl Jam . Billy Joel and Elton John together .

Kenny was in Studio here last Friday and he mentioned that he thought "fast forward" would creep up fast on the chart plus he's opening the CMA awards singing that.

country stars have the best of all worlds . once they lock in their core audience they can branch out and try to cross over..

they have garth brooks and shania twain to thank for that..

also think ronnie milsap back in the day helped a little ..

shania was big , but when she hooked with mutt lange she went thru the stratosphere .. he is as close to a musical genius as you will find ..

kenny's stuff has progressively gotten more mainstream ..

if he could land me as a fan , then he has made it .. i'm the hardest sell out there. cause i generally hate coutry music .

Vike, never listened to Country music in my life until I heard Chesney on some awards show etc but then was hooked.Check out one of his shows cause nothing like huge belt buckles singing about "lost my job and my wife kicked me out" oh the eye candy at his shows is outta this world too!

I think you got my LOL mixed up with what it really meant...wasn't laughing at kennt chesney. but journey's play on words in the thread title. I actually saw Kenny Chesney live before he was ever a big act. He opened for Alabama back when his first cd came out and i enjoyed it at the time.

You guys should see him in concert if you never have, puts on a good show.

Journeyman, kenny used to open for Tim Mcgraw.
In fact a few years back at rich stadium, Tim Mcgraw, kenny chesney and george strait all played together. Now they are 3 of the best.

Toby Keith, big and rich, keith urban and brooks and dunn put on awesome shows also. Gotta say rascal flatts show was good to
