Hey Kwalder! Read the scriptures dude. The cats that crucified Jesus were a bunch of corrupt power hungry brutes. That's why Jesus refered to them as the synagogue of satan. These guys had no real allegience to God or the law they were just concerned about holding onto their place. And that's why they broke the law by trying Jesus at night during the Sabbath. So to say that the bible is incorrect because Jewish laws were broken is missing the whole point.
And furthermore the Jewish authority did influence Pilates decision by claiming that Jesus declared himself a king and that they(the Jews) had no king but Ceasar and that if Pilate did'nt crucify Jesus than he was no friend of Ceasar. PILATE WAS AFRAID OF CEASAR! NOT THE JEWS! WHY CAN'T PEOPLE SEE THIS? The Jewish authority in Jerusalem knew this and manipulated Pilate by threatening to tell Ceasar. Kinda like your little brother threatening to tell your parents, you're not afraid of you brother but you give into the threat for fear of your parents.
And all this anti-semetic stuff is just garbage to discredit the movie. The hero of the film is a Jew for heavens sake!! So was his mother and all the apostles. Jews can't be portrayed as villains? Well I guess you have to burn the old testement too because there were alot of "bad" Jews in the old testament Ahab,Jezebel,Dathan,Korah,the golden calf worshippers to name a few.

i apologize for my comments. they were a bit uncalled for and out of line. i dont really feel anything at all what i said i was kind of just messing around but the nature of the topic does not permit that. i did not expect all this seriousness. nothing wrong with religion or peoples choices regarding such. i dont stand by what i said at all, it is just hard to take a bunch of gamblers serious regarding the matter!! i do however stand by the original post that started the topic i think that is a good review that guy did.
blue i am trying to obtain a copy of it now the girl i am dating saw it with her sister and she could not follow the story since she speaks spanish and could not follow the text quickly enough i will indeed watch it without the sarcastic review i have posted. i do not in any way shape or form show belief or disbelief of any relegious figures or beings. i respect everyones right to choose a relegion and you guys can put that on ESPN.
