Going to Whistling Straights? just left there - well, last summer - we also played Erin Hills and then drove up to Sand Valley which is like Bandon - I've been to Whistling Straights 2x - I have it in my top 5 courses and I've played most of the courses that u can actually get on

Yea, Whistling is one of my faves

Off the top of my head my favorite course is Old Head - nothing compares to Old Head - no matter what anyone tells me

Old Head
Pacific Dunes
Whistling Straights
Kingsbarn
Wolfs Creek in Mesquite NV

I go every year for a 7-14 days with a group of people for like 20 years to a new venue - my favorite trip by far is southern Ireland - we went about 15 years ago for 2 weeks playing everything - it blew away Scotland - we also hand perfect weather in Ireland so that taints my opinion

Wolf's Creek is straight out of the bible - the peaks and valleys

My most overated course is Pebble Beach - $500 a round with a min two night stay - meanwhile, just north you have Pacific and Bandon Dunes which are significantly better

Pebble Beach is worth playing once if you grew up watching

the holes along the ocean are what make it , the others could be at any ol goat track. Lol

had a great time at Bandon and Pacific Dunes, a friend owned a bed and bfast where golfers stayed and we always had a top time

That’s it. Al Greenfield. Great fire pit, great booze, Cuban cigars, great ESPN room with recliners , we had massages after every round outside there

Back elbow stay tucked, rotate wrist at impact, open irons a couple degrees at set up......all will be well. Cheers!

Edit.....also also try to hit the front face of the ball....never the back :)

for me, what works best is having a 'task'. If I get to technical, doesnt work, cant process. So my 'key' is skipping a stone; that's my FEEL. The back elbow automatically does what it 'techinically has to', and yuo get that sling projection

many ways to skin a cat, i suppose

how do u like it? easier off the tee than fairway? on a tight par 4 what r you pulling out, G5?

still looking for something to fill the void from my 4 hybrid and 3-wood. Have 3 hybrid , and 5 w but not in love with either . I'm better with my irons than woods-- looking for a go-to club off the tee on tight par 4's. Want to try: Ping crossover, Srizon zu85 and taylormade gapr. Hoping one of them can get in the bag

Like it. Sets up more like an iron. I am an iron player, so maybe the curve was less. I hit my 4 iron off the tee a lot. I am pretty accurate with it and can carry 235 off the tee. I bought it for the 230-240 shot off the fairway. Havent master the club in that aspect. Seem to cut the ball about 10-15 yards with it. Maybe it's the graphite shaft.

Overall I am pleased with it. I don't bring it out of the bag too much though.

Yesterday I did pull it a good bit and had good success. Haven't got a chance to log many rounds this spring.
