Jason Gore at 175 to 1 (5 Dimes)....was on fire yesterday, and is playing the easiest course today. (PB)

LOL after my post Gore's odds went from 175 to 1 all the way down to 100 to 1.

OK, 2-0 for the match play bets this week. Not sure why Kuchar WD, but glad he did (hope nothing serious though). Singh had to make it interesting to day with 6 bogeys (4 birdies) but Scott didn't shoot well either. I also didn't realize that the cut was after 3 rounds (nearly counted Singh as a win after Friday) and then Scott shoots six under on Saturday to make it interesting. Not sure I could back Singh again in the near future.

On to next week, 2 tournaments, with WGC Match Play and the Mexico Open (yes I know that is not the name). Match play a lot different for these guys. Will have to see the matchups and odds, but guys I will be looking at in the WGC our Cink, Donald, Ogilvy, Poulter and Casey.

I like Casey out of that group for the Accenture, wating to see opening lines myself.
Finally picked a winner this week with D Johnson, was heavy on Weir in the matchups but won plenty backing DJ this weekend.

Yeah Casey has been really tough in these match plays. Seems the foreighn players fare better in Match play though I have no stats to back that up. Congrats on the DJ win, I wander if it might not be worth a small play each week to bet the defending champ to win assuming he is playing ok going into it?

Sorry this is so late, work was a bear today.

First Round Bets in WGC Match Play
Brian Gay +105 over Kenny Perry
Gay's 4 starts this year have produced 16,15,25, and 21 finishes. First time in WGC match play but like his chances. Perry Historicaly not good in this format (3-7 lifetime in WGC match play).

Charles Schwartzel -110 over Hunter Mahan
Schwartzel has won twice on the Euro tour this year and also has a second place finish there this year. Mahan nothing higher than 27th in 3 starts on the PGA this year.

My other first round pick will be David Toms +115 over Sergio. This pick is based on Tom's career 23-8 WGC Match Play record. He will battle in this format.

To win the tournament, I took Paul Casey (+1600), Henrik Stenson (+2000), and Stewart Cink (+2500).

Good Luck!

Ok 2-1 in match play today, not bad wish Toms would have won though.

On to Round 2, I am looking at how they played today, the odds and past history for this round.

Jeev Mikha Singh +115 over Kuchar
probably bad karma betting against a guy I won on in 1st round but just a hunch that Singh wins this

Luke Donald -105 over R Allenby
Love the way Donald has been playing, he had 8 birdies today. Allenby is tough but for the price like Donald and the way he has been playing.

Ernie Els -120 over Goosen
Thought Els playe very well today and like the way he has been playing this year.

Charles Schwartzel +120 vs Furyk
#9 seed vs #1 seed and he is only at +120? This guy is good and will take a chance on him vs #1 seed

4 plays for Thursday. I should say that I play these daily matches at 1/2 of what I would play a normal 4 round individual matchup.

No plays in the Mayakoba Classic, have never had good luck betting the B tournament when there is an A tournament going on the same week.

Still have Casey and Cink alive to win, too bad about Stenson and his upset tummy.

Good luck to all!

Great day today, 3-0 (3.35 units) with the Els match still going (he is currently up 1 thru 11).

Will have some picks for tomorrow later.

Dam, Els choked it away the last few holes, oh well still 5-2 for the WGC Match Play (3.2 units).

Tough lines for tomorrow
Staying with Donald -150 over Oliver
Also will stay with Schwartzel +105 (this guy is really good)
Last PIck is Tim Clark -105 over Sergio
So Africans are proving very tough in this match play.

Good Luck to all

well done yesterday!

I am going with Donald and Poulter big today, also on Cink.
It's moving day!
Actually going out to play today too, taking my iPhone with me so I can listen to Tiger's presser while I am on the 3rd or
4th hole

Man, your making me jealous. I live up in the midwest and we have had at least 4+ inches of the snow on the ground since sometime in December and its snowing again. Actually playing golf seems like a ways off yet unless I can get away from work to Arizona or Vegas for a short vacation here soon.

Ouch, brutal day, 0-4 and -4.7 units, now 5-6 and down 1.5 units for the tourney.

Six of the 8 higher seeds won and I certainly was incorrect in playing the lower seeds. Will have either Casey or Cink in the final 4 to win it all.

Like Poulter but not willing to lay the -190 on him
No pick for Casey-Cink

Tempted to take OLiver WIlson +100

Only play now is Goosen (+100) over Villegas

Glad BB was good to me tonight.

Good Luck tomorrow.

I took it on the chin in matchplay yesterday too. Went to a charity casino night last night, got hammered and forgot to bet today's round. Naturally I would have gone 4/4.
I did a write up in my PGA thread, playing Poulter and Casey to advance to the finals. I said a standard bet on both, but I raised it a little just to make it interesting.

Funny thing about that charity night, we started out with 5k in play money. I turned it into over 60k by the time we had to cash out, that would never, ever happen to me in real life.

Little late in getting these posted, have been busy with work lately. Could only find 2 that I liked to bet, the site I use has crappy lines. Here is what I took
Kevin Na (+130) vs JB Holmes
Going against the defending champ here. Na has played great the the Phoenix Open (as obviously has Holems). Na has a couple top 10s this year and has finished in the top 5 3 of the last 4 years in this tournament.
Kevin Stadler (-105) vs Bryce Molder
Stadler comming off 2 straight top 10 finishes.

Good Luck
