wil.

PS. Notice records broken down into what quarter they occured.

Wil, I know the NBA breaks it down by quarter. I'm not disputing your findings. But I have taken a personal vow not to recognize those records. A man has to stand for something, you know?

Think of it this way. Sooner or later, some team is gonna score one (or zero) point in a quarter. If it is the 2nd quarter, nobody is going to refer to the record as the "lowest points scored in the 2nd quarter".

I don't like it when people get too nit-picky with records, trends, stats, etc. And I consider records by 1st/2nd/3rd/4th quarter to be too nit-picky.

FWIW, I refuse to acknowledge any NBA record that is specified by quarter. Shouldn't matter if it is the 2nd or 4th quarter. All quarters are created equal!

Show me a book (that pays and) that has the same line & total on every quarter of a game and (while becoming wealthy) I'll buy your argument.

Ah, but we're talking apples and oranges. Big difference between record-keeping and gambling.

2 pts in a quarter in the NBA is incomprehensible. How could professional athletes be this inept? they deserve something for this. Some type of award.

Yesterday, Miami only scored 64 against the Knicks!

But these low scores are to be expected when you've got a generation of players who only practiced how to dunk and dribble the ball with their knees.
