I was in a big casino/bar here in Costa Rica, place was packed with the game on every tv. The last 10 minutos of the game it was like a funeral. Nobody was talking or making noise which is very unusual. I was a little indifferent as I'm not a big soccer fan. Bur amazing how a country with a population of like 4.5 million can even compete with the US, 300millio 9r whatever. Also CRs best player goalie Keylor Navas didn't play.

It's all about how many resources you can put into it. Holland and Belgium aren't big countries, but they put out elite teams. There really isn't any other "serious" sport in Costa Rica. This is it. That, plus they are the one country that's a little bit different than the rest of Central America...physique-wise.

This tournament is only serious every other cycle... after the World Cup, when it's for a ticket to Confederations. No team fielded it's top 11 (Costa Rica tried). Navas may have been the difference for CR, but Pemberton is a very good second option. CR and the US are similar like that in that they always seem to have a top-notch player at goalie. The real problem for CR was all the injuries they have right now. They were missing some really important experienced players.

That said....the difference in that game last night was obviously talent. One of US's best players, ever and still has some magic left.

Crazy to see Mexico lose.

What was that MX Goalie's Deal? It looked to me like his Initial instinct was to try and block that shot but then some thing just made him go: "Fuck It. Ballz too far over there. I'll just kick back here. To Hell With trying to block that damn ball."

I see value here for US -190 to win in regulation. Gonna put up the dough to win 2 units. Jamaica lost the TOP battle badly. Won on an amazing free kick goal. That won't happen again on Wednesday. USA is technically better and has the athleticism to hang with Jamaica. I like the US to win outright. US clearly the better side here. Jamaica has shot its wad.

Great Post: Throughout. JAM lucky as heck to be in That Spot, to capture the spot in this one via Free Kick so late vs. MX but thats what MX does of course, lets teams Hang In/Fails to Close/Doesn't Convert Chances (even moreso when we're talking MX's Non-A-Team) so I'm so so glad they're not in this game.

"USA is technically better" as you say so true in my eyes that I'm considering that OV 2 Goals for USA.

International Soccer Overs are a Thorn in my ass though, my conversion rate even worse than Mexico's :( which I know is hard to imagine....debatably I should be looking at that USA -1 at -107 if I feel like USA is gonna score 3.....we gotta a real Hungry Reggae Boy's Squad here tho, Best Stage this country's National Team has seen in a while...

....even though, yeah, its been a "Meh" tourney cuz so many Top Tier players not in it.

The Best to all on your plays.

Yhanks and BOL with your plays. I'm banking on the U.S. to solve the Jamaican keeper whocan be a beast especially without the creativity of a pulisic in the attack.
