Had a party of 7 a couple months ago at Galatoires lunch...4 of them got the special which was some kind of drum. And it was legit the most flavorless meat I'd ever tasted. I didn't order it but everyone else there that did sent it back. I've never been around anyone doing this a nice restaurant and the server was PISSED (even though she had nothing to do with it). They didn't even order anything else.
My food came out cold. but I powered through it.

they do still have the best gumbo on the planet though. get that. and eh taylor single bbl was only $14 a pour! I'd been there a few times before, but I'm done with them and done recommending them now.

I can assure u it's me - just got home - we went for Friday and Saturday

You are correct though - we were not allowed to eat in the dining room - we had to sit in the bar section - that's when I did a completary tour

Most definitely try Sofia on Julia Street for dinner... then drinks at NOPSI hotel rooftop. bar.
