I don't see any reason to reset the rotation.

It's Jake's turn, not crazy about skipping him and then having him start on an abnormal amount of rest.

Rotation is deep enough that I don't think they would need to start Lester more than twice, so no real disadvantage in starting Lester game 2 instead of game 1.

I think Hendricks should go in game 3 anyway, his home/away splits are that drastic.

I guess I say this because I see the Arrieta game as a loss, unfortunately, and game 1 isn't the place to take the first one IMO. Hopefully proved wrong of course, but I think they should reset the rotation, and they just may, idk traveling today so haven't looked....

Yeah you could also use the logic that you shouldn't potentially burn a Lester start against Kluber, save him for when it is a significant pitching advantage in an effort to get the split.

Moot point though, I'm hearing it will be Lester in game 1.

I have to admit the +175 FOR the series is juicy and its got a lot of value. It is the smart play just from the fact that this is baseball.
Almost no team should ever get +175. Especially the team with home HF.

But the fan in me wont allow me to make that bet.

I can't take it against the Cubbies, only because I'm not betting against them...but I think that's enough to get my action otherwise. They were +150 against BoSox and swept them. Indians are a serious team with adequate starters, solid lineup, and a serious bullpen.

It was...and I think Indians have a solid shot tonight to go up 2-0. I think Cubby bats can get some off Bauer, but I don't expect perfection from Arrieta either. It's obviously not ideal to go down 2-0, but not a must win game, though very winnable. Really like Cubs in G3 and G5. G4, it's impossible for Kluber to be better than he was last night, as he was straight nasty. Cubs will be a dog, but a winnable game.

Cubs were -110 last night and I'm seeing -153 tonight. So, somewhat surprisingly, I guess this is the game they're supposed to win.

Jake needs to step up, or we're gonna be in a little bit of a pickle in game 4.
