Absolutely, since that is the only other viable alternative to exploiting the fates of thousands in the name of politics ... in your black and white world, that is.

So holding a convention there is exploiting it? But having all the idiot politicians lobbying for a Super Bowl in NY (which is in NJ) is not?

And it isn't really exploiting it for political gain. Its the Republican convention. republicans are voting for Bush anyway.

And the other problem is that too many people do not see things in "black n white" . too many people are out there looking for remorse and closure and putting kids in timeout........

The whole argument that a certain subject is exploitation for political gain is horseshit anyway...Thats like saying going to Yankee stadium is exploiting baseball..Its the name of the game.
Somehow the black helicopter and Cumbya crowd seems its ok to expoit 9/11 when it come to saying its Bushes fault and not to vote him because of it.

I saw the ad tonight and feel it was very, very well done. Showed the bust of the dot coms as well.

I was somewhat surprised to to the ad here in Minnesota as I never saw one ad here run by Bush in 2000. Tells me the pres thinks he's in the game here this year! No doubt he is - another 16 vote electoral swing!

Disgusting, utterly disgusting. I knew Bush was a slimy, beady eye drunk but using this tragic event to get votes is flat out wrong. He just keeps sinking to new lows and that's hard for this draft dodging daddy's little boy

Let's take a look at what G.W. Bush did on Sep 11, 2001.

Anyone who has watched the time-stamped sequence of events which show him at the Sarasota FL elementary school should be staggered by what the Commander in Chief of the most powerful killing machine in the history of the planet did when informed of the planes hitting the TT.

http://septembereleventh.org/

Why won't Bush cooperate with the investigations?

To think that we impeached the former President after months of hearings and investigation for having a private sex affair and then lying about it. And now this President won't even participate in the most important investigative story of the current century.

Yea and to the moronic pacifists, note the half dozen that appeared in this thread.

John Kerry called this a criminal act and not and act of war. Do not really think anything else need be posted.

Stupid phucking moron says what?

Sure Viet Nam, Mogadishu, Iran, all the ambassies and ships blown up over the past 20yrs is his fault too.

Want fault? Look right in the mirror phucking scumbag pacifist. See that guy looking back, it's the same one that spoke up against Viet Nam, it's the same one that has allowed the malcontents to walk all over the only super power left on earth. That's you.

Bush responsible? Nah you are 100 X more responsible, for your failure to be proactive.

For one time only, I will reply to Sodium P in same manner as he posts:

Listen, chickenhawk scumbag,

Quit whining about how much taxes you pay on your security guard 3rd shift salary. As far as I'm concerned you ain't paid any dues like Wil and Lt. Dan who were sent off to foreign lands to fight for unappreciative whining cocksvkers like you who sat at home and pretended to be patriots like your man W.

If you were really sincere about not wanting to pay excessive taxes, then surely you would not have voted for the biggest government spending president in last 20 years who also turned budget surplus into biggest deficit in history. You're about as responsible as teen-age rich girl with Daddy's credit card. Go fvck yourself, complaining, unappreciative, spoiled scumbag,

Kman,

As I have said, I do not like Kerry. But you said "people cant come up with good things for Kerry so they rip bush" (paraphrase)

First of all, you are dodging the issue. It is unfair to disregard every critisism for Bush with "more negativity from misguided kerry supporters" attitude.

While your point may have validity, there is still a good question raised here.

Is this an example of Bush exploiting 9-11 for political purposes? While some may say no...I saw vitims families say they were offended on the Orielly facotr, so I feel it is disingenious to blow this off as a non-issue. That is disresectful to those who lost loved ones at the trade center.

Furthermore, you also critisize Kerry so I am sure there is an element of the pot and the kettle here.

Another thing is this: I am not voting for Kerry. Nor Am I voting for BUsh. (it is lazy to ignore the ideologies of other canidates who cant win, because some offer some great ideas...including some that you may like kman)

So If critisize bush, it is not because I cant come up with any thing good for Kerry. It is because I feel Bush has done something that has warranted critisism. You cant discount all negativity...because not all of it is unwarranted, and it is not all in the name of bi-partisan politics.

Kman, I enjoy your posts at times because you are passionate, and at times ask question like "Why do you feel this way" or what would you do" which are far more thought provoking than sheepish loyalty and insults.

However, sometimes you hold others to a high level of critical thinking, and do not hold yourself to that same level. THis would be an example of such a fallacy. (I have taken several classes in critical thinking and logic, so pardon me getting technical on some boring issues.)

I understand that you are passionate for your conservative beliefs and support for Bush, and likewise passionate about your distaste for Kerry and his liberal followers. Your passion is admirable, but I think this is an example of your subjectivity getting in the way of your debate skills.

Here is hoping I am pointing out some limitations in the critical thinking thought process. I find myself guilty of these fallacies as well, but I am trying to improve. It is difficult, but critical to the give and take of an argument.

Sorry for the rant, I just felt that in this case your bieng unfair, allbeit unintentionally.

Take it easy.

With all due respect to the victims familes...Do they need to be consulted on everything that happens in NYC and 9/11 for the rest of history?
You got your charity, NY is pissing away millions of tax dollars to build a memorial. It was a horrible attack but is there a memorial for every victim of every crime that occurs in this country? If someone uses Gun Control as an issue are they exploiting every victim thats been shot?
Do not forget what happened, but is there the need for the victims families to just come on Tv and piss and moan about what still needs to be done for them?

that's such a dirgraceful post as well as the "PISS and moan" part, this people havent gotten justice yet, not until their genocidal government goes waging wars on innocent people WITHOUT EVER PROCECUTING A SINGLE CRIMINAL FOR THIS CASE, NOW THINK ABOUT THIS MAN, IF IT WERE YOUR MOM, OR SPOUSE, OR KID IN THERE WOULD YOU FEEL CONTENT IF YOU WERE TOLD THAT SOME BIN LADEN CARICATURE WAS RESPONSIBLE WITHOUT THE SAD EXCUSE OF A U.S. GOVERNMENT BRINGING ANYONE TO JUSTICE WHILE AT THE SAME TIME KILLING MILLIONS OF CHILDREN AND WOMEN AND INNOCENTS IN AFGANISTAN AND IRAQ, IT'S SO DISGUSTING I FEEL PHYSICALY SICK, SO MANY PEOPLE DEAD IN THE U.S., SO MANY PEOPLE DEAD IN THE MIDDLE EAST, AND THIS DUMB FVCK BUSH GOES AROUND IN HIS SMUG IMBESSILE WAY USING THIS PEOPLE'S PLIGHT AS PART OF HIS CAMPAIGN, WELL I GUESS LIKE HE HAS REPEATEDLY SAID "I (HE) HIT THE TRIFECTA"...NOUGH SAID.
