Kman,
As I have said, I do not like Kerry. But you said "people cant come up with good things for Kerry so they rip bush" (paraphrase)
First of all, you are dodging the issue. It is unfair to disregard every critisism for Bush with "more negativity from misguided kerry supporters" attitude.
While your point may have validity, there is still a good question raised here.
Is this an example of Bush exploiting 9-11 for political purposes? While some may say no...I saw vitims families say they were offended on the Orielly facotr, so I feel it is disingenious to blow this off as a non-issue. That is disresectful to those who lost loved ones at the trade center.
Furthermore, you also critisize Kerry so I am sure there is an element of the pot and the kettle here.
Another thing is this: I am not voting for Kerry. Nor Am I voting for BUsh. (it is lazy to ignore the ideologies of other canidates who cant win, because some offer some great ideas...including some that you may like kman)
So If critisize bush, it is not because I cant come up with any thing good for Kerry. It is because I feel Bush has done something that has warranted critisism. You cant discount all negativity...because not all of it is unwarranted, and it is not all in the name of bi-partisan politics.
Kman, I enjoy your posts at times because you are passionate, and at times ask question like "Why do you feel this way" or what would you do" which are far more thought provoking than sheepish loyalty and insults.
However, sometimes you hold others to a high level of critical thinking, and do not hold yourself to that same level. THis would be an example of such a fallacy. (I have taken several classes in critical thinking and logic, so pardon me getting technical on some boring issues.)
I understand that you are passionate for your conservative beliefs and support for Bush, and likewise passionate about your distaste for Kerry and his liberal followers. Your passion is admirable, but I think this is an example of your subjectivity getting in the way of your debate skills.
Here is hoping I am pointing out some limitations in the critical thinking thought process. I find myself guilty of these fallacies as well, but I am trying to improve. It is difficult, but critical to the give and take of an argument.
Sorry for the rant, I just felt that in this case your bieng unfair, allbeit unintentionally.
Take it easy.
