It's a survey conducted by ultra-leftist blogger John Cook who, a) isn't a climate scientist, and b) has been caught cooking the numbers and manipulating what the respondents said.
It figures a statist lemming like you would swallow this blatantly obvious "97%" BS hook, line and sinker.

every read the paper on where this often-cited 97% number comes from? sort of like saying 25% of people are gay...even thought it is completely untrue if you say it enough times people just start believing it. sort of like oregon football being a dynasty

I would point out that recorded human history is very, very full of the scientific "consensus" being spectacularly wrong about many, many things [Alfred Wegener proposed, in 1912, that the continents had in fact drifted apart. The consensus sneered at continental drift for fifty years. The theory was most vigorously denied by the great names of geology], but that wouldn't put a dent in the talking point.
