Coach,
I have a great book by Scott Kellen and of 2 years ago, the past 20 years in college bowl games played BEFORE NEW YEARS DAY (PRE JAN 1st bowls) the dog getting 8 or more points has covered over 72% of these games

Best chance to succeed at a particular sport -- you have to have a true passion for the game; you've got to love the game so much, that it is a part of you.

Especially in a sport with so much emotion, like college sports, picking winners is more than just stats & numbers. If you watch the games because of your desire, you will begin to pick up valuable instincts that will lead you to the winner circle.

For example, during this past basketball season, I rarely missed a Big 10 hoop game -- at one point I hit 10 straight Big 10 b-ball games.

Granted, I'm sure many gamblers don't necessarily have this type of passion for the game they are betting on, and are nonetheless successful. BUT, having a passion for the sport will increase your edge against the book.

1. Flip Coins on tough decisions

2. Have atleast two big 4 team parlays a night.

3. Only gamble when I'm drinking, depressed or feel the urge to chase.

4. Fade ACE - ACE

5. Always play internet black jack at the end of the night. $50 hands.

6. Pay $2,000 a month for Brandon Lane, Wayne Root, Brian Mac, and any other tout that calls me more than 3 times a day. If he has that much dedication and cares about me winning that much.....he must be good.

My rents might disown me, seeing that they both went to FSU haha. But they DO like that IN-STATE tuition. It's a deal LT, but I won't be swaying or singin 'ol boys.

I do already have the stats to get in though, so we can put the FSU education thing to bed lol.

Speaking of Bed, gotta get up at 730 :( Night y'all, this is a solid thread.

Well

I believe stats, systems, flip of a coin picks have nowhere near as much importance as money management. That is the BIGGEST part of gambling. And where MOST gamblers fail. Most gamblers, just throw $100, $300, $900, $1k, $2k, $3k, lol, roughly any amount that suits their feelings for the moment, on the games they play. And what happens? They get murdered during loosing streaks. Or, pretty much just a few losses. Streaks come and go. Wether your a pro capper, or, an amateur capper, just betting casually, you need to realize good money management. That is more than 80% of the success in sports betting.

As far as picking your selections goes....stay away from half plays, quarter plays, ...pretty much anything that has you make a selection based on a portion of the game. Sporting events are better predicted, in their "final" result. And, you don't need a system, or any "capping" to pick a game. You just need to know your teams, know how they're performing as of late, and just put your money on ONLY what you feel STRONGEST about. I know some guys that don't do ANY capping, or use ANY systems, and go on win streaks that last for what seem like forever. I've not met one "capper" to this day, that has matched someone who can just "call" their plays.

In any event, I can't stress how IMPORTANT keen money management is.

Good luck everyone!
