I've been on 3 cruises in my life, each one was a good time.
The food is outstanding, the ports were great, I want to do it again soon.

I've been on 5 cruises. Done the eastern caribbean twice,
cozumel/cancun/roatan twice - and done the Mississippi from New
Orleans up to Memphis once.

Some are trashing Carnival on here, I have a different perspective.

Carnival for me has had the best bang for the buck. 1.5 years ago
I took my whole family on a 5 night cruise out of Galveston for $299 each.

Shit, we ate more than $299/each in food. Plus, I thought the cruise
was just fine - it's not the high end of cruise liners, but we had a
fantastic time, and we sure got our money's worth.

My next cruise will be Vancouver/Seattle -> Alaska.

BTW, We got our $299 for 5 might cruise at cruisedeals.com

That is the exact cruise we are looking at.

And it's not Carnival themselves its the passengers on Carnival (no offense Fester) but you know what I mean. When you pay a little more it tends to run off the rif raff drunkards who are puking over the rails and in the halls from to many Cuervo shots and use the kids room as the dumping ground for their brat kids.

Our last one was Royal caribbean (free cruise for my wife winning the blackjack tourney) The ship was great and the kids area was awesome. The catch is that they closed during certain periods of the day to make the parents pick them up and spend some time with them. Nothing like a cruise to promote family values..LOL

Hey, NJ/Rangers game went under tonight. LOL!

My family all went on the Carnival Fantasy ship out of Port Canaveral to Freeport and Nassau for a 4-day cruise. The food was fantastic. You can eat all you want and they had midnight buffets.

My family likes shrimp. We must have had 4 plates of shrimp each. The beef tenderloin was my favorite. They must have had 7 courses for each evening meal.

I was easily bored though since we spent a couple days floating from one island to the next and back to Florida. I swear, Nassau rolled up the sidewalks at night. The ship had good entertainment a couple nights but the other 2 nights was horrible. Some dance routine one night and amateur night the other night. I watched a movie both nights.

The next time I'll fly in to some Club Med-type thing where you aren't floating in the middle of the ocean and you are always at your destination.

That's why you need to take a 7 Day or longer Cruise ! Those 4 days Suck ! They just try to string it along and make the best of it.

With a 7 Day Cruise, you are most likely to have 5 or 6 ports and 1 or 2 days at Sea. ( Not just Floating, at Sea )
The Days at Sea are used to do Pool stuff or just relaxing.

Be wary if it's your first cruise, you really feel the ship moving day one and some people get sick.

I just got really hammered so it evened it out. Only felt it the first day.
