My cousin has taken his 10 year old hunting with him & he's trained him to shoot a .22 rifle. I think its stupid to train kids that young........

Can't imagine what the kid will go thru in life.........her parents are probably the gung ho type, paramitary style combative & love guns, etc........but to bring a child into the mix is asanine.

What happened to sling shots & bb guns?

my dad had his own .22 rifle at the age of tenface)(*^%

Similar thing happened in Mass a few years ago, except that the boy who I believe was 10 ending up killing himself because of the recoil of the uzi.

So I found a video that allows you to see up to the millisecond before... and well... it's pretty dam sad... the instructor was literally inches from her the whole time. I don't know the protocol. .. but it seems he should of had his hand on her tiny arm...

1 mistake....

I feel sorry for the young girl..

Well outside of the fact a 9 year old girl SHOULDN'T be handling an Uzi !!

If the person is Right handed, he should be standing on her Right side, and Left handed... on the Left side.
because of the recoil

I don't get why you would be teaching/using an uzi with a 9 year old. I feel awful for everyone involved. Accidents happen and I am sure the anti-gun folks will have a field day with this.

On a side note I take my 6 year old, 10 year old and my wife to the shooting range once a week at a minimum.

Then why do you bring your children?

They don't shoot uzi's. I want them to learn how to use and respect firearms at an early age. Both kids started with a small .22 rifle and now are both very proficient with various small caliber hand guns.....they shoot up to 9mm. I started shooting at the age of 4 and to this day the safety measures that my father instilled in me I still use today and are just second nature.

Also, why was she shooting a 9mm Uzi when she could be shooting the .22 cal version, which she could handle with ease. The recoil killed the guy. There wouldn't be any with the .22
