The Y2K compliant thing wasn't crap, nor was it a scam. It was a job that was well-done by IT people. You see, in IT we can simulate what happens when things are not adjusted for Y2K and it was a mess. The fact that things went so well is a testament to how well the IT people involved handled the situation.

After this week's G8 summit looks like the politicians will still be trying to get some agreement in 2050. Reminds me of "the tragedy of the commons".
