Two top teams of the league facing each other. Köln struggled a bit over the the last 6 games and changed teh coach. Christoph Daum is back in charge.Daum was the last coach who had real succes in Köln, when they played together with München for the championship. He is one of the top coaches in Germany overall and now makes his highly anticipated comeback in german football. his impact for Köln is more than hugh. If you dont follow Köln, the city and their fans you cannot imagine what impact he has on everybody involved with the club. He announce before last week s game that he will be coach, but could only be at the macth as a spectator due to illness. his presense was already enough to lead Köln to their first away win since the first match of the season.
Apart from the coaching change there is not a lot to say. Two solid teams in a very important match for both..but i tell you: this is all a non-factor today.
This is a play on Daum and all the confidence he brings to the players and the expected 50000 fans (remember that this is a 2nd division game)tonight.
It s one of my top plays this season.
