Chris, i am from Hamburg. I took the Hamburg -1 runline and it was my biggest bet yesterday. I was in the AOL-Arena and watched the Game.I was cheering with the other fans, but for another reason.

cool, i have studied in hamburg and still be there quite often. i think HSV will do great this season. i am a bit surprises about st. pauli. but they could go on a run, after their great start. what are the news in town about st.pauli? are they surprised to be undefeated or confident to promote?

Chris, what do you think of Frankfurt/Bayer over 2,5 goals?

I mean these are 2 teams that have their strength in offense and they are also playing like that. Frankfurt scored end of last season tons of goals, but i am not buying into their defense. I mean, they have Rehmer,Vasoki and Spycher playing defense. Jesus christ, what's that. And Rehmer ????? How long did he not play? 2 Years? Leverkusen has still a solid defense, but after departure of Lucio they are conceiding much more goals. And castro scares nobody and athirson have to adapt to german bundesliga. (look what happened yesterday to Naldo in Bremen). Yesterday, line was at 1.78 (5Dimes) and had some value, at 1.69 now i don't know. I am just surprised how big the difference is between betandwin and books like pinnacle or 5Dimes. Betandwin offered from Beginning for the over 2,5 an odd of 1,55. 5Dimes was at 1.78.Another example: Schalke win at betandwin 1.35 and at 5Dimes was 1.55. I think it's time to close my account at betandwin.

i was thinking about the over too, but i am very careful right now with totals at beginning of season. i ll lay off that one.
i would keep bet and win for regionalliga. they are often better than the other books in that league.

Chris, you love St.Pauli? That's cool, because this is the club i love. That's the reason, that i yesterday cheered with the other fans in AOL-Arena, but not because HSV won. I was yesterday with my father in AOL-Arena and we are battling already for years. He is a big fan of HSV and i like St.Pauli. Regarding St.Pauli i think they have a good chance to go up after this season. They have a lot of young talent, but Lübeck will be very strong this season and don't forget Osnabrück and Kiel. With St.Pauli you never know. If you like this club your whole life will be a rollercoaster and you need a lot of Aspirin.

i cant resist and have two add a couple more:

2. Bundesliga

Unterhaching- Paderborn: Under 2.5,3 goals @ 1.80

Reason as above. Paderborn plays solid defense and i cant see unterhaching score a lot, if at all.

Adding one more unit on Paderborn +0.5,+1 (line move) @ 1.81

That's it for today.

Chriscol, I am new to betting soccer and have a question. What is the difference between moneyline and pk? I see at Oly they have Leverkusen at +135 on the moneyline and -145 pk? I would guess it has something to do with the chance of a tie.

Thanks

Don't mean to step on toes, but if you bet a game at a (pk) line, you get your money refunded in the event of a draw and win if your team wins. If you bet on the moneyline, your team needs to win for you to win your bet, and any other result, draw included, you lose your bet. You'll also see this denoted sometimes as -0.5 on what's called the Asian Handicap line... think of that as a point spread in basketball or any other sport. Hope that helped.

Frankfurt have no defense. I thought i saw yesterday with Bielefeld one of the worst defense, but Frankfurt tops it. I think Bielefeld and Frankfurt will be good Teams to bet the over or runline against them whole season.

chris - very nice work indeed - well done. I should have just followed on the Erzgebirge pick, but had my doubts and left it alone. :icon_conf

Lots more fun to be had this weekend - I have had a first look at the matches, and there are a few good ones, regardless of odds, and a few where the rights odds will make them great value plays.

I look forward to your picks on Friday, and the rest of the weekend!
