Let the line go down. Maybe to 3. Pound the dawgs. Only issue is who is going to be on the sidelines. Buzz is off the charts in Athens right now. Just a good feeling. The bowl practice is what needs to go into capping this game. I will be keeping a close eye on it.

Regardless, the future is very bright for UGA

Lot of respect for you Al.....but, Kirby may help a team win a national championship.

He ain't going to help Georgia in this bowl game...matter of fact he is hurting the team.

Georgia's bowl preparation is "who the hell knows?"

Well one thing is for sure. Watching film will be pretty worthless for PSU, other than sizing up personnel. New playcallers on both sides of the ball will take away any tendencies. Will be an interesting game to watch.

Clover.....your right. I have mixed feelings about Kirby and Pruitt sharing an office right now (which I hate to see him go), but the recruiting Kirby is doing now is something UGA hasnt had in a while. Its almost like a dream team coming in. Still spots left to be open, but trust me on this.....Kirby is about the kids he brought to Bama, which I respect him for standing by them (great recruiting tool for him), but dont fool yourself by thinking he isnt working for the dawgs.

Kirby Smart has been a great coach, supporter, recruiter and key player for the Tide's success the past 9 years. I, along with the majority of Tide fans wish him success.

Bama is west....Dawgs are east....hope they meet soon in Atlanta.

booster buddy of mine says they got their guy this week but since it is recruiting dead period he wants to coach through his bowl game before getting announced. i called bullshit on this but he's much closer to the program and I am...he would not tell me a name or how he knew but there wouldn't be a recruiting advantage to making an announcement this week since you can't call a recruit for the next 3+ weeks anyway.

Chaney got a big re-commit from Eason this week so that was a great snag for him. he is a hell of a judge of qb and knew immediately that voytik was not his guy so went out and snagged peterman. most pitt guys really didn't like chaney as he's not a visible or energetic fella but a great X's and O's guy.

i really don't know where they go unless my buddy is dead on accurate that they already have a hire. narduzzi is pretty well married to a pro style and the young guys out there that would be interested in moving from a non-power 5 to pitt are mostly spread. nard's reach is pretty long and he is really well connected across the country so i don't expect it to take long to get a hire. was a good weekend for Pitt recruiting with 4 new verbals and two pitt leans are holding their press conference on friday. if they can keep all these guys and then get 1 more RB (either sanders or washington) it will be an excellent first full class for narduzzi.

future bright? maybe. as much as i like narduzzi he will be getting some really attractive offers when he puts together another 8+ win season next year and slaps around state penn on sept 12. He has no ties to western PA so if a top 15 gig comes open, or Dantonio retires, he's probably gonna roll. Conklin is an absolute star DC and he'll probably he wanted by some big program in the next year or two as well

I really dont think he will leave there soon. He is from my area and while I did not know him I know some kids he went to HS with and he still visits with some of his local friends over here. I just get the impression from the fact he could have bolted MSU for a lot of other jobs he waited for a place he could go to and be successful for the long haul... I think he will stick around there for awhile, I hope he does. Its a good place for football, a great city to live in. If some fool throws 5 million in his face a year you could not blame him.. Like Tennessee rewarding failure this week.. I did not understand that move. They should have cut his pay for failing to meet expectations. They will beat an average team in the bowl game and they will be singing rocky top and saying next year is the year !

Taxslayer Bowl update: The new bowl duties will shape up as follows: graduate assistant Steve Shimko will coach quarterbacks, recruiting coordinator Todd Hartley will coach special teams, associate director of player personnel Sam Pettito will coach defensive backs, graduate assistant Courtney Coard will coach outside linebackers, and quality control analyst Olten Downs will coach receivers. Bryan McClendon who coached wide receivers will serve as bowl head coach.

As I stated earlier...frecken mess!

interesting. other than my buddy that says the deal is done i heard they brought in Helton (WKY), Beck (OSU), and Enos (ARK) for interviews ... dickey, helton, beck, enos all fall into the story that they are prepping for a bowl game...

Texas Bowl also seems to have the line off a tad. Texas Tech will play LSU. The interesting
part is the Red Raiders will be without more than half of their coaches for this game. Two
left on their own and three were fired. Special teams, running back, offensive line, linebacker
and defensive back coaches are gone and won't be around for the bowl preparation.

LSU will beat Texas Tech like a drum.................

leaf I agree with you one this one. I think the public is putting to much stock in the TT win over Arkansas and all the drama at LSU to end the year. I think schools in SEC are just tired of losing to Nick Saban and some are over reacting.

When I thought about this game one of my first thoughts was will LSU punt the ball in this game? That TT defense is just horrible, then you put in the physical mismatch, this could be ugly for TT.

I think les miles and his team will come out with a purpose due to how their season ended and the thought of last years bowl game.

I could be wrong but I see this one like you do.

Bucks, I'm guessing that good RB at LSU is chomping at the bit.

He'll go for 200 plus.............

Some times an old-fashion (pick-up) football game in the sandlot can offer a lot of excitement. Georgia might come-out "loose as a goose" and give PSU a helluva run
for the win. Let's be honest, there's a lot of athletic talent within their roster....It seems they never came up with the right mix. A lot will depend on the degree of complacency PSU brings to the game.
