Oh No Doubt about it. Just imagine this or any Sports Discussion Forum, what those would have been like, without hate-filled guys insulting other guys who post picks. Its mind-boggling to imagine how much greater these forums would have been, without that element.

Lines are so sharp nowadays. Picks get won or lost often by a single play. Or stupid coaching decision. Mostly fuggin FLAGS THO. Then a guy is gonna rag on a Brother for landing on the wrong side?

Such Haters are definitely the worst plague that Forums like this one had. 1000s of Great Posters generous enough to share awesome write-ups or just picks have been driven away from these forums bcuz of these Haters.

FWIW the only reason I commented in Terd's pick thread is because he is a pathological liar. He constantly bragged about his picks and his overall record in other threads and forums. When called out on it with what seemed to be very thorough evidence citing records of his sports picks going back years Terd deflected and claimed there were inaccuracies and missing threads. I asked him to name those inaccuracies or post links to missing threads or records, and got no reply except anger and insults. No one deserves to be challenged or ridiculed for losing but if you are going to constantly tout and brag in all threads about your capping talent and record you should be able to back it up.

SO this discrepancy made me pay attention and dig further. In the short amount of time i paid attention to his picks I found that his picks were almost exclusively underdogs with no write up which is basically like betting the min pass line bet with max odds at a craps table. No strategy, just mathematically the best bet. Then I also observed him attributing default -110 lines to totals that were only available for increased juice, and then of course the Steelers fiasco where he posted him betting the Steelers +3 when that was available no where at the time of his "bet". When asked about it he said he got it from scores and odds which of course is not a sportsbook (if asked where you got a line on a bet would you ever site a line service?) and then the story changed to he got it from PA locals (which is an unacceptable source at least in the picks forum) who somehow didn't know the dubious status of Big Ben and still had the line up but we all know he really just doesn't bet his picks. Instead of just admitting he made a mistake with the line, he decided to tell more lies to cover it up. The actual closing line for that game was Steelers -3 or -3.5 I believe, a 6-6.5 point swing. My "trolling" of his picks weren't because I dislike him, and i do dislike him, but to expose the lies to those posters who see him bragging about picks and record and might think of tailing.

I hadn't even thought of (included) your own situation with Vit as even in the same ballpark as guys insulting guys who post picks cuz, yeah, Misrepresenting W-L Records and other inaccuracies, cross-posting between forums bragging about questionable successes, 87% of one's Bowl Picks mirroring exactly those of a well-known TOUT....

...these things are a whole different animal.
