Men rating ballplayers is a bit gay, eh ?

I'll agree some guys are just butt ugly,l but picking out the handsome ones is borderline gay. I know women like Jeter.

I was at Yankee Stadium, upstairs, behind home plate, when Pay-Rod took him deep three times, drove in 10 against him.
He almost took him deep a fourth time, flew out to deep center with the sacks juiced his 4th time up, if good Rodriquez would have had 4 taters 14 driven in in one game.

I think 14 RBI against one pitcher in a game would have to be a record that would stand forever !

Like him or hate him, A-Rod is a very talented ballplayer !

A boxscore of that would be cool !

It might be even more amazing that Pavano actually pitched a decent game with the Yankees...

He was sharp as a tack that night, against a good lineup yet.

In what could possibly be his final start in a New York Mets uniform, Bartolo Colon gave interested teams plenty of motivation to make a deal for his services. The 41-year-old right-hander retired each of the first 20 Seattle Mariners he faced on Wednesday afternoon before Robinson Cano busted up the perfect game bid with a single. Colon ended up working into the eighth and allowed a pair of runs on three hits, but picked up the victory in New York's 3-2 win.
''You're a little disappointed when they get a hit, but that's what they're trying to do,'' Colon said through an interpreter. ''They're trying to get a hit and break up the no-hitter.''
It would have been interesting how much Colon had left in the tank had he advanced beyond the seventh inning. His pitch count was still in the 80 range, seemingly leaving him in good shape. However, he did look a little tired in the eighth when Seattle broke through in the scoring column. With that in mind, manager Terry Collins contends that Colon would have completed the effort stricly on adrenaline.
''No doubt. There is no doubt in my mind that if he got by Cano he ramps it up. You see it a lot,'' Collins said. ''But you know, great game by him.''
We'll never know for sure. But we do know that Colon rasied his stock in the eyes of teams who could use a starter for the stretch run.

Ever seen Shrek?

Bartolo has the look down perfect, except a little off on those silly little ears!

Think how fat he would look if you put any sort of normal sized head on that body!

And another start:

It will be Colon's 529th start, tied for 36th most all-time with Eddie Plank and Rick Reuschel. Among active players, either Colon or C.C. Sabathia lead in almost every pitching career category. He goes into Monday's start with 240 wins, 2,454 strikeouts and 3,315 1/3 innings. Colon declined to talk before Monday's start.
