It's not like somebody says " I was gonna shoot up a school but couldn't get a gun". So no matter what....the pro gun/anti gun control people will never think any restriction stops anything.

I don't think you got to the core of the issues I was stressing.
But anyway the pro-gun people have their own agenda of course. And it's based out of a fear mindset that basically laments, "There trying to outlaw this weapon. (Now I know they really should do so, but) Next they're going to outlaw this other weapon. And then they're coming for my gun that I use to protect my family." So basically they stand in the face of common sense because many on the other side really do want to take their guns as well. The two sides are extreme opposites. But when I step back and look at the real issue it's mental health. And again you can't through legislation stop psychos or people who snap from obtaining a weapon mass-murdering. The law is the least of their concern.
