In the history of the Bucs franchise, coming off a su loss as a road fav, they have covered the spread in the next game as a home fav every time.. 14-0.. Fwiw..

mhk , can you please list all the games for this Trend ? Mine is showing a 6-0 since 1990 and I doubt there is more than 6-0 since the Bucs were a REAL BAD team before the arrivals of Tony Dungy and Chucky .

Thank you

mhk.

There is a Perfect 14-0 Trend for the Bucs , but it is ONLY dating Back to 1998 , not as far back in the History of the Bucs Franchise like alot of peoples saying . Here it is :

To have a 14-0 ATS trend for the Bucs :

1/ Tampa was a Fav last week and LOST SU , REGARDLESS of Away or Home Fav

2/ Tampa is Now a Fav again. Regardless of Away or Home

3/ Can ONLY go back to 1998 to have a Perfect 14-0 . Overall , the Bucs are 18-0 SU & 17-1 ATS in this situation . The lone ATS Loss was :

- in Week 10 1997 as a 5.5 Fav against Indy , they Won SU 31-28 but failed to cover

Andy,

The six occurences I found since 1987:

1990 -2 vs. Packers 26-14W
1997 -7.5 vs. Bears 31-15W
1998 -4.5 vs. Giants 20-3W
2000 -3.5 vs. Bills 31-17W
2001 -2.5 vs. Packers 14-10W
2002 -3.5 vs. Fakcons 34-10W

Thanks, I have that same 6-0 ATS if :

Bucs coming off a su loss as a ROAD FAV, they have covered the spread in the next game as a HOME FAV .

The reason I want to clarify this because I have seen alot of peoples claiming a wrong Perfect 14-0 trends for Bucs .

NEWPORT must way in on this one.

First I would like to comment on the fact that there are very few in this forum or any NFL forum or TV show that thought the Cowboys would be as competitive as they are. Matter of Fact, everyone thought they were close to the bottom of the barrel. Well NOT THE CASE!!

Now I hear and read comparisons being made between Gruden and Parcells, and all this FAN fair rederick.

Well let me explain somethings that ALL need to know about the COWBOYS.

Parcells is a GREAT motivator, and he is a leader, He also has complete control of the media, and the efforts needed to be a head coach. He has taken all the stars off this team, and made everyone equal. His offense is one of execution, and not complexity. This has been apparent throughout all of his career. He makes Stars out of everyday players. I knew Dave Meggett at my tenure at Towson, and know one would have made him the money or the Super Bowls without Parcells. Joe Morris, and Martin the RB had his best with Parcells. Ok so I have accurately assessed the Parcells success playbook.

Now, This COWBOYS team should have had someof this success LAST year that they are seeing this year. Campo built a great defense and their defensive personnel last year was one of the best. The offense was the problem,it never supported the defenses potential. Now with the removal of Emmitt Smith and the mystique that came with it, and adding free agents like Glenn, and telling Ishmal to hit the road and Quincy living in the tape room, you see the result. The DALLAS COWBOYS spent the money on the defense even in Aikman's last two years, and now the benefits are making their way. Add in Newman getting better, and Roy Williams a major threat ALL the time.

So what does this all mean. Well the COWBOYS schedule this year is very favorable, and this process is far from reaching and winning a Super Bowl, but they are making strides.

But please do not be surprised at what you are seeing, we were supposed to see some of this last year. Oh, and from a COWBOYS fan from 1973 to the present, please stay OFF the BANDWAGON. This next run will remind you of the first set of COWBOYS, the LANDRY Cowboys. hey I love what JJ sqared accomplished, and Aikman, Irvin, Smith, Johnston, and Novachek and that great Dallas defense of the 90's.
(a reminder that most do not know, Landry drafted both Aikman, and Irvin. They were already present when JJ showed up.

Last comment, Anyone notice Jerry Jones not on the sidelines thus far this year. Give the man credit, HE LOVES HIS COWBOYS....even if it means taking a backseat.

Also he paid 180 million of his own checking account for the Cowboys in 1988. What are they worth now, and one more thing. If YOU can write a check for 180 million dollars, you can do what ever you WANT.

Well said NEWPORT,

However, what I want to know in this game is how will the Dallas O-line match-up with the Bucs D-line, will they get time to throw. With the injuries to The Bucs secondary I cant see Parcells hanging around making the game close, rather take advantage of the weakness and make The Bucs one dimensional. Can they do it and why.

Well founded comments only please, moneys at stake

As far as my analysis onthisgame. I think this is one of those NFL games where Tampa wins no matter what. Is the set fix that happens in the NFL, where Tampa has to win, and they will.

I think Parcells will put the game in Quicny's hands....so that if he fails miserably, then he has something to work him threw, and rebuild him back again. Parcells will always as a coach draw something good from something bad. He would wrather Quincy have a terrible game here, then when it really means something later in the season.

Now if Quincy comes threw with a HUGE game, you will hear Parcells in the press conference saying something like this, "Well Men, Quincy can play this game, and if he keeps doing what he has been, well then we might see something special."

I think he willrisk rebuilding Quincy'psychy by putting the game in his hands....especially with Lynch out. They love running the post across the middle, andwith no Lynch, that will be there.

Also lookfor a great many draw plays on running game to set up the play action pass. Using Hambrick a great deal I think will be a mistake in this game. I am not wagering on this one, just watching.....enjoy

Oh.....I would take the 7, I cannot see the Tampa offense making a mockery out of Dallas. I would take the 7, by all means.
