Bushay, I gotta say I give you alot of credit, your posts are insightful and well thought out, Even though your a wings homer you still make factual posts and add pretty good insight to back up your statements.. Here's sumthing I would like to ask you, We all know Babcock is a great coach, but do you think he has a coaching advantage over D Byslma?? I think even tho Byslma doesnt have the NHL coaching experience that Babcock brings to the table, Byslma played for Babcock as a Duck and pretty much knows Backcocks strategies and game plans, imo that benifits Byslma and the Penquins, where is Babcock only knows Byslma as his x player and he doesnt have the resources to go back and study, look at film, ect... because Bylsma is a rookie coach with only so many games under his belt.. imo that makes it even tougher for Babcock to draw up a good game plan that he doesnt have to keep tweaking as the game goes on.. would you agree??

babcock spent too much time worrying about matching lines the other night and I agree Z looked very tired out there.

lets not forget that the wings are playing without their best player. yeah arguably, but that would be like the pens playing without a malkin or crosby.

this series heads back to the Joe and its all but over.

one thing seems to hold true though and that is that fleury seems to make the big save on his home ice to keep his team in it, but he just doesnt do that on the road.

Thank you for the compliment. But I'm just a big Red Wings fan myself. If the Wings weren't in the playoffs, you wouldn't be asking me stuff like this as although I do follow the NHL very closely...I could never have the insight I like to share here if other teams were playing now. And I try an stay level headed as best I can.

I do not believe he has an advantage. Do you? I mean..even though he played for Babcock, it just can't be the same when your both wearing suits behind the benches. But you have to admit, he's done a very good job so far. He's unemotional behind that bench, and I think that goes a long ways with the players. He's givin them his game plan, and he's not flinched, even when they've been down 2-0. So he's relaying a calmness and it's rubbed off on the players IMO. That's the kind of coach I'd feel comfortable playing for and tend to keep my composure when were down. But I'll hold off on him out coaching Babcock until he wins one in our building. Home crowds in a finals can will you a long ways. This Pittsburgh team is a good team. They gave the Wings all they could handle last year and now with Datsyuk out and Malkin showing up this season, I think there's were your difference really is. I also think the Wings were screwed with the short rest between rounds. Pitt was healthy and confident and ready to go. The Wings were banged up and tired playing without Lidstrom and Datsyuk for a few vs. the Blackhawks. So i don't nessessarly agree that Bylsma holds an edge. Babcocks got a ring already and I believe I saw a stat that he was either the top or very close to having the best playoff winning pct. of any coach. Bylsma is a ROOKIE coach doing a fantastic job. But most of his team was already in place when he got here. And when they found out they were playing Hossa after what they think he did to them, that just revved up their engines for this final that much more. Hossa has very little time to do much out there. They are on him like white on rice every time he touches that puck. Give them credit. And this Datsyuk deal could work both ways for them. Their either going to get a huge lift of him playing or they are going to expect him to do too much when he hasn't played a game in 3 weeks. And that's if his foot is sound. It wouldn't surprise me if either team won the next 2. I think the edge is gone in straight betting from here on out. I think these will be tight games. If your a Pen fan that +1.5 line might look really tempting to me tomorrow night. Myself, I'll still be on the Wings at home in front of that Saturday night crowd. This town needs something to cheer about with all the unemployment. I think that carries over to the team. Good luck either way you play it.
