Whether or not you need Anti Depressants would be up too a trained licensed Psychiatrist. And all medications have side effects. If anyone experiences severe side effects then the Dr. would switch the prescription to something else. To state that Anti Depressants are bad news is ignorant as there are many people that take them and rely on them in this world. I would rather have people on them then a bunch of people running around not on them that should be.

Would you not agree that many shrinks give medicine just to justify the office visit? A lot of people who are perscribed them don't need them. What did people do before these things were available? Some people need them. Others take them just to take something. Do you see my point?

Of course there not bad for everyone, but you can bet a helluva alot of people are on them than 1. have no business being on them and 2. will become hooked on them and will end up much worse off...too many people are on them to "take the edge off"...fukking joke...go out and get some exercise daily and you will feel much better...too many people make too many excuses...I blame it on a generation of bad parenting, and God have mercy on this generation`s kids when they are adults!

the oxycontin thing is unreal in the Appalachians. many drug stores don't even carry it because they'll get robbed.

Of course they do that as they get kickbacks from the companies that make the medicines. However, there are definately people that need to be on medication.

What's the big deal about Oxycontin ( Percocet). It doesn't do anything for me. I have a good supply of them, left over from ankle surgeory, doc was generous with them. They would stop my foot from hurting, but nothing more.
I took 2 this morning, because they were there. I get no buzz, or anything off them, even with some beers.
I don't get it, they do nothing for me, yet people beg me for them.
I'll just keep them, for a future toothache,back-pain etc.
I'd get one hell of a better buzz, by smoking a joint (it's been a few years )
