Walk away. Take a break. You won't miss that big sure thing, theres always next week or next month.

Its refreshing as hell and easy to do. Stop the chase.

The weird thing is that stopping is a rush in itself! You appreciate the amount of stress that you were under when you were betting. Its very relaxing. I periodically stop. No TV, no newspaper, no forum. Just me and walking down by the Lake, doing shit around the house. Its great.

Been gambling for over 35 years, longevity is probably due to the vacations as I like to call them plus I bet to make money, not for the rush. Betting is very stressful, I rarely watch the games now not good for the heart, a take a peek see how its doing, if I'm winning my bet by miles then I'll watch, if its too close I'll look a the scores after all is said and done.

wow....amazing post...i agree with this 1,000% :103631605:toast:

I don't think I've ever been burned by someone whose brain is powered by a hamster running on a wheel, but keep trying.

Why are you so worried what "everyone else" thinks sumgay? You know you're burning me right, so who cares what everyone else thinks? Sumgay is winning, YAAY!

Sumgay is not the angry one who is having homosexual fantasies or bringing up mythical family members, because sumgay is under control and not having a meltdown.

sumgay's debating strategy and his march to thread victory dovetails with his award-winning.....

I've done workshops for school last fall and met tons of people with addictions. They all try to rationalize it like scott l. ''It's an investment like stocks'' (maybe they think they look more sophisticated or something)

They are all a dime a dozen.

snott L.... Your momma's so fat she goes to a restaurant, looks at the menu and says "okay!"

Sumgay that's so old people fell off their dinosaurs laughing the first time they heard it. Does my mama have to get weighed at the loading dock as well? Is her house so small that the window breaks when she puts the key in the front door? Sumgay just finished reading his first book -- SNAPS! Whadda genious!

finishing reading through this thread, yes, gambling is the worst addiction. got the highest suicide rate for a reason.

have you seen the in game threads in the baseball-basketball forums etc? people saying why is life worth living, i feel like killing myself, get me a gun so i can blow my head off, etc.

i have a letter in my pm box from a guy i convinced to stop gambling that i'll post some day. i understand the forum is gambling intensive, but it should also go out of its way to protect all the susceptible people who end up in big time trouble because of gambling.

sumgay you have gtc08 in your corner so your mammoth lead in this thread is increasing.....

If this keeps up I might have to admit defeat and then you won't need that second sedative.

Well, my point, my opinion rather, was that spending hours a day capping is too much of a waste of a life, especially after you lose.

You can sit there and ''invest'' your time capping all day and come out 53 % for the day. Another guy can spend a few minutes and guess what? He can hit 53% too.

Just saying, it's bad enough some people lose money on their picks, but they make it worse by paying touts or wasting precious hours of their life(especially for those that have kids and wives) which is a shame.

gtc08 is not in my corner. He just made a point. Just like we all were discussing until you came in here freaking out and throwing insults my way.

Could it be because I hit a nerve about spending hours a day capping being a waste and your joke of an attempt to rationalize it all by calling it, ''investing''
