Woofdaddy- I don't think you are being perceived as an asshole. I just think that 95% of the people that read Dante's post would have just said, "that's Dante." You just perceived it differently, and reacted differently. We all get pissed when someone offends us. It takes a lot to piss me off, and when I am pissed, I get over it quickly and hold no grudges. But Kodiak pissed me off this week, and I went off on him like I never have before. So, no worries. Just remember that Dante's sense of humor is, well, different than yours or mine.

I'll probably get your e-mail from the mods, as I'm intrigued and would like to discuss investments further. I've got most of my money in mutual funds. Good funds, but will never give me 100% a year gains routinely, like I would like. I had planned to trade actively, but I guess I'm scared of myself. If I lose in sports, no big deal, and there's no pressure. If I were to lose retirement money, very big deal.

I can be found on aol instant messenger with same name as rx name.

Wont be there tonight as going out later to watch toledo game. Feel free to contact me anytime.

Everyone else also is planning to make money holding the same mutual funds which are holding the same stocks.

Based on prior posts, you probably know what I think of mutual funds.

I am not a broker, so dont expect specific advice from me, but I do know alot more money will be lost holding these "blue chip" stocks and mutual funds.

The real bottom of market will only be reached when you arent hearing everyone talking about their 401k and or other stock investments.

Not sure what you mean. Plenty of new money is going to be going into these funds, as 401K's are only 20 years old, and are the future for the average working American. I actually do not know what you think about mutual funds, but sounds like you are down on them. My funds are actively traded, not index funds. But I know the returns are still limited, compared with futures, individual stocks, etc. Looking forward to it.

Bill Gates and Michael Dell (and many others) have been selling tens of millions of their company shares during past SEVERAL years. More importantly have continued heavily selling shares AFTER the largest amount of $$$ was lost in this country. Would be different logic if they were selling on a top, but still selling eventhough stocks are falling.

Very similar of someone going on a honeymoon cruise and as they approach the loading dock, they notice the captain and crew refusing to sail to sea with the ship they have asked you to spend your hard earned money to sail.

Would you feel comfortable sailing to sea with that ship?

FWIW, I would ask for whatever refund I could receive and find another ship which to board.

Well yeah, Dell, Cisco, Microsoft, etc....they are like the Green Bay Packers. Finished. The only experience I have in trading is the Bill O'Neill version. He's the founder of IBD Investor's Business Daily. Mainly small companies younger than 8 years old. The future Microsofts. I'm bullish on a lot of those small companies. Plenty of companies did 200-300% annually in 2000-2002. Just have to know where to find them.

Another theme I have chosen to base many of my investments is:

What everyone else knows and/or owns, is not worth knowing and/or owning.
