Actually the more I think about it the Pats not calling time out the play before was even a worse call the more I think of it.

Yea the result sucked but if Wilson would have thrown a TD there nobody would even thought twice about that play call

Wilson shoulders the blame for a poor throw instead of putting it low where only the WR can catch it. If the D is looking for the run, you throw it. Bad result but not a bad call.

disagree too much potential for bad things to occur. Seattle was in the drivers seat...no need to "surprise" them

You are the 1% of all football fans that will think this. Lynch had been gashing them. RUN THE BALL!

I have to strongly disagree. You have the best goal line RB in the game period & instead of feeding him the ball, you try a pick play in that situation. Plus one has to factor the potential that the Patriots might have just let him score if they did not instantly knock him down as to preserve a chance to get the ball back.

Either way you cut it, the absolute wrong call.

The more I think about it the more I agree with this.

Never mistake bad call with bad result.

2 different things.

What belichick did the play before was absolutely inexcusable even though he lived to tell about it.

Unbelievable. Best running game in the NFL and you have 3 chances to get a half a yard and you let dumbass throw the ball. Into traffic too. Even if it was deflected, probably would have been intercepted. Of course they would not even be in that position without same crazy catch anyway.

I don't know how Seattle will come back from this one. If I were in that locker room, I'd be furious as hell.

Post game interview : carroll : "We didn't want to run it against their goal line group" then... "Why didn't we run it? That's a real good thought." cocky s.o.b.'s is why they didn't run it

This is one of those rare occasions where the coaching staff lost the game for a team.

This is what that fuck was just quoted as saying:

"I told those guys that's my fault totally." - Pete Carroll on play call on late interception

I thought the game was over. This is Marshawn Lynch. You can tell the Patriots exactly what gap you are running too and he still would have likely scored.

Like the others I dont agree, even if the play is completed its a bad call, its not about the result. . Youre on the one with the best rb in the game and youre a power running team. You go down playing your game. They stop you they deserve to win, but make them stop you doing what you do best. The only other play Id have run is keeping it on the ground with Russ's legs, read option. No need to be fancy there...they played cute and lost the game.

You're correct because 99% of football fans will remember calls they disagree with that turn out bad but never the ones that work. Not I; when the whole D knows you're going to run, you pass and vice versa.
