Neutral field, versus full season stats (which helps fading teams like TA&M stay a bit more respectable). FSU would be the 8th best (of 13) team in the SEC. This is why sharps play against their inflated lines every week (for better or miraculous 2nd halves worse).

By the way, Bowling Green was one of those double digit ATS winners last year. And they have a terrible ATS record this season because they have been a tossup or favorite in all of their MAC games. But now that they are the dog tonight and have fallen out of favor with the public, I think their chances of covering start going way up. Just my opinion of course...
Something negative almost always happens to a team after having a big season. Either a new coaching staff like you mentioned. Success like that usually leads to bigger opportunities for the coach, and he moves on. Everytime I see a MAC or SBC coach win 10 or 11 games, they are usually gone the next year. Also teams like Mizzou and FSU lost too many starters from last year. The chemistry just isn't the same from last year. But the expectations from the public don't change until they start losing money. Auburn is the only one of those 5 teams that basically hasn't changed much from last season. But their problem is they are now expected to win their games. Last year they were the dogs in most of their games. They are still doing a little better than I thought they would. Mainly because they have a great coaching staff and offense. But they still stand at only .500 ATS for the season. In the long run, I save money by staying away from these DD ATS winners from last year, unless as I mentioned I start seeing them fall out of favor with the public...The moral of the story is like Lou Holtz used to say. He never got the same team twice. They all change from year to year.Well, that....and they have an entirely new coaching staff.
