I beg to differ. been doing this 25 years now. I hit rough patches like we all do but proper management is what's important, not chasing losses, and not betting with emotions. House has the advantage with the lines, info on players and teams (books have runners, tipsters, etc) and the juice, but if done right, about 5-10% or so end up profiting. Havent read the book entirely yet as I know Billy Walters personally from my time in Vegas years ago but I know a lot of what he employs in his strategies and he talks about it in his book "Gambler-Secrets from a life at Risk." He's on the other end of the spectrum, obviously, having won and lost Billions, and now prob has over 500M at least in assets but he gives some advice as to how to make a profit long-term.
Keep your head up. No matter the hole, can come back, just take it slow. Marathon, not a sprint as I tell everyone I give advice to on gambling.
