Yonkers: Friday 11/11 Analysis
By Brewster Smith

DRF

MEET STATS: 278 - 1169 / $1,805.50

BEST BETS: 31 - 109 / $148.40

Best Bet: GIVEN UP TERROR (7th)

Spot Play: UPFRONTWHOSURLADY (2nd)

Race 1

(8) NIPPY W HANOVER seems to be heading in the right direction and she has gotten the job done from door number eight in the past; the pick. (6) NORTHERN DALI Based on her last four tries she is knocking at the door. (3) LITTLE MISS HENRY flashed good speed in her latest.

Race 2

(4) UPFRONTWHOSURLADY was sent down the road in her last start for all the glory and now she goes for a new barn and gets the services of Brennan to pilot this pacing mare back to the winner's circle. (2) I DO IT MYSELF was sharp in the pocket but could not get to the winner in her most recent outing. (6) VICTORIA MAY N got the job done recently at Freehold.

Race 3

(1) ANNUITY just missed the victory last out and this gelding now draws the fence. Ready to greet the cameraman for pictures. (4) ADDWATER gets post relief and that should help his cause. (6) SHARK FANTASY put in a sharp qualifier here last week.

Race 4

(8) HEY KOBE rallied strongly to land the place spot last time out and this pacing mare might boss these; Brennan drives again. (1) OUR ELS DREAM N has hit the board in her last three tries and appears to be a big threat. (2) BABY REMIND ME did not have enough gas in the tank against tougher last out.

Race 5

(3) GADSDEN HANOVER came first up at the 3/4 pole and lost glory by only a length; seems ready to move forward with a favorable trip. (1) CLASSY LANE ROSE has good tactical speed and the rail should put her right in the mix. (2) IT'S A MIRACLE put in a good effort last out and could make some noise down the lane.

Race 6

(4) HEAVENS LEGACY was late on the scene to nail down the show spot in her last trip to the post and that was against a much better group. Now she leaves the 7-hole for door number four; gets the call. (1) DEUCES FOR CHARITY moves back inside and basically she can contend with these. (6) HER OWN LAND came very wide to get the job done last week.

Race 7

(5) GIVEN UP TERROR has found a new home in the $20k claiming ranks and if he gets the right trip the rest will have to settle for minor awards. (7) AMERICAN ROCK has scored in his last two trips and appears to be the main danger to the top pick. (3) POWDER KEG should be a win threat from the 3-hole; maybe.

Race 8

(6) REGIL ELEKTRA leaves the 8-hole for a cozy slot and this pacing mare is back at her stomping grounds; win candidate. (8) KRISPY APPLE has wheeled off two straight victories but now will have to grab the hat trick from the eight slot; we shall see. (7) DEVIL CHILD was nailed for win honors in her last try.

Race 9

(3) SINGLE ME moves back to Yonkers after a good campaign at Pocono and her form is very sharp; quite possible. (2) DO YOUR JOB has hit the board in her last three outings and could have a say in the outcome. (1) AL RAZA N might be a perfect spot and the rail should help her cause; we shall see.

Race 10

(5) CHEYENNE ROBIN moves down the ladder and she figures to get a favorable trip; the selection. (1) BETTOR N BETTER has hit the board in her last two trips to the post and now she draws the fence; main danger. (4) JONSIE JONES was nailed for the victory in her latest; watch out.

Friday’s six-pack

My six favorite Bill Murray movies:

6)*Quick Change– Saw this on my first date with my future ex-wife.

5) St Vincent– Any time a guy takes a little kid he is babysitting to the racetrack, the movie has a chance.

4) Caddyshack– This was more of a Rodney/Chevy Chase movie.

3) Stripes– The late Harold Rams should’ve acted in more movies.

2) Meatballs– Morty, the guy who ran the summer camp, later wound up as a judge on Law and Order.

1) Lost in Translation– Underrated movie with Scarlett Johansson.
