I like to use this thread daily, for it is VERY informational. Thanks goes out to Raiders for establishing such a thread! I usually don't post my picks, although today I wanted to point out something I found interesting while looking at game previews at CBS sportsline. I was wondering if anyone else noticed, but this is what I saw.
The last player to hit four homers in a game was the Dodgers' Shawn Green, who did it in a 16-3 rout of the Brewers exactly one year ago - May 23, 2002. Green also set a major league record with 19 total bases in that game. And against WHO?? You guessed it, tonight's MIL pitcher Glendon Rusch.
BREWERS PROBABLE STARTER: Glendon Rusch (1-7, 7.26 ERA). Rusch will hope to fare much better than he did at this time last year, when he lasted just 1 2-3 innings in the Dodgers' 16-3 rout. He gave up eight runs and nine hits in that contest. Rusch has also struggled this season. On Saturday, he did not earn a decision after allowing four runs and eight hits over 5 2-3 innings in the Brewers' 8-6 win over the Cincinnati Reds. Rusch is 0-3 with a 16.20 ERA in three career games against Los Angeles.
With seeing this, I feel like the book may have a Trap set for us with the total set at 8. If it is, I FELL head over heals into this one. I Hope the low scoring LA BUMS can get a few more accross than yesterday, especially after the first 3 INNINGS!!
My play LA/MIL Over 8 -105 (**)
(2 Units) - to make up for my Half-Unit I had on the LA/Colo over yesterday, which I had already spent. I checked the weather, and according to covers it is Partly Cloudy 54 degrees, with a wind blowing Left to Right or (NE). Hopefully it gets too cold, and they close the roof for a Run Scoring extravaganza. Gl
