The Bills have been trying to drum up interest by giving Lynch the bulk of the workload for two straight weeks, and overall he's looked pretty good. The Packers are desperate for an upgrade at running back with Brandon Jackson struggling to fill in for the injured Ryan Grant. Of course, Green Bay GM Ted Thompson is not typically wont to part with draft picks, which is what the rebuilding Bills covet. Thompson will have to decide whether the Packers need Lynch to make a Super Bowl run.

We'd caution that Frank rarely breaks big news, though PhillyBurbs.com (the Burlington County Times' website) is a pretty solid source for most things Eagles-related. Citing a league source, Frank indicates that the Birds called the Bills after learning of LeSean McCoy's fractured rib. Frank characterizes McCoy as "out indefinitely," and Philadelphia is shorthanded at running back without him. Mike Bell, a healthy scratch in Week 4, is next on the depth chart.

The 2012 pick is a sixth-rounder that can escalate to a fifth based on Lynch's production. It's not an ideal landing spot for Lynch owners praying for a Green Bay trade, but it beats staying in Buffalo. The Seahawks have been trying to deal for Lynch since early in the summer, and he should slot right into the feature back role as a low-end RB2 with Justin Forsett now the change-of-pace back. Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller should gain flex status now that there are only two mouths to feed in Buffalo. Julius Jones should be released shortly.

C.J. Spiller - RB - Bills C.J. Spiller will see an increase in touches following Tuesday's trade of Marshawn Lynch.
We'd rather carry Spiller than Fred Jackson for upside purposes, especially in PPR leagues, but that doesn't mean he'll receive more touches than F-Jax right off the bat. Coach Chan Gailey has been hesitant to use Spiller, so keep expectations at 10-15 touches per week in a fantasy-draining offense. October 5 - 6:03 p.m. ET

Fred Jackson - RB - Bills Fred Jackson's role is expected to be "noticeably larger" following Tuesday's trade of Marshawn Lynch.
F-Jax now becomes the best bet for early-down carries in Buffalo's struggling offense. He's had 20 carries this year compared to 14 for C.J. Spiller, which is a fair guideline for their ratio going forward. Jackson should be picked up as a potential flex option in any league where he remains available. October 5 - 5:58 p.m. ET

This confirms Tuesday's report that Jackson's role would be noticeably larger following the trade of Marshawn Lynch. Jackson needs to be owned in all formats and can be used as a flex option. C.J. Spiller is worth hanging onto, but fantasy owners will be hard pressed to put him in their starting lineups with Jackson seeing the majority of early-down carries.

Carroll has yet to anoint Lynch as the starter, but he's the new lead back whether he lines up on the first play or not. Justin Forsett is expected to be used as a "counter back in third-down type situations." Our early rankings have Lynch as the No. 22 fantasy back for Week 6.

C.J. Spiller - RB - Bills Bills coach Chan Gailey was more optimistic about C.J. Spiller's hamstring injury at his Monday press conference.
Initial reports had Spiller "out indefinitely," but it sounds like he may only miss one game. "C.J. thinks he's going to be hoping to practice, probably this week," said Gailey. "Probably a realistic thing is he'll miss one [game], and then we'll see from there." The Bills visit the Bengals in Week 11. November 15 - 4:57 p.m. ET

A lack of talent at running back has obviously been a big factor in the Seahawks' ineptitude, but injuries on the offensive line -- particularly with Russell Okung not being 100 percent all year -- hasn't helped matters.
