Sentry TOC:

Outrights:

John Rahm(+450) e.w. (1/4 for 1-2-3-4)
Dustin Johnson(+750) e.w.
Paul Casey(25/1) e.w.
Brendon Todd(35/1) e.w.
Chez Reavie(66/1) e.w.

- - My unconfirmed recollection is that experience and good finishes have always had importance in capping this field, and first-timers are notoriously hard pressed to emerge, with exceptional distance certainly an advantage, but to a somewhat lesser extent. But then I am reading the course has undergone a revamp, especially some of the greens, so probably no telling how that plays out . . . Rahm was the first player that came to my mind while just thinking ahead back in December, so he’s a play . . . DJ exhibited some of his laconic confidence on a big stage at the end of the Presidents Cup, so I can see that continuing at Kapalua . . . Paul Casey just seemed to come to mind as someone to watch early this year, and my brief research in no way dissuaded me . . .Todd is popular and I am just following along . . . And Reavie just seems like a little fireplug that is going to be thrilled and prepared to start his season in Hawaii.

Best Wishes to All for the New Year, with lots of 2020 vision to your plays!

AT&T Pebble Beach:

Outrights:

Brandt Snedeker(22/1) e.w.
- - Was going to avoid him, decided that was the wrong move.

Branden Grace(28/1) e.w.
- - I believe in his class, really liking his form and its source.

Jordan Spieth(35/1) e.w.
- - I definitely subscribe to the philosophy of it’s better to get on board early than late, but as in all golf capping, it’s really hard to occasionally get lucky enough to even be close.

Adam Hadwin(50/1) e.w.
- - Nappy factor, venturing out on the road for the first time I believe.

Chez Reavie(80/1) e.w.
- - He came good for me at the U.S. Open, should suit his game in June or February, can find some inspiration.

Patrick Rodgers(80/1) e.w.
- - Been trending nicely IMO as I’ve been tracking.

Harry Higgs(110/1) e.w.
- - Had him last week and thought he would go better, no value in his price, but this week he gets another chance to go well with Commissioner Monahan as his partner.

Nick Watney(110/1) e.w.
- - Too many plays.

Maverick McNealy(110/1) e.w.
- - Too many plays, and not even a rich price.

Mark Hubbard(125/1) e.w.
- - The one time I played Pebble Beach we were paired with an obviously wealthy couple from L.A. that were married (probably their second marriages) at Pebble Beach, so I like the narrative.

James Hahn(250/1) e.w.
- - Too many plays.

J.J.Spaun(250/1) e.w.
- - Too many plays. Maybe something clicks early in the season for an underachiever. Or not. Not likely with his short game around these small, sloping targets. Or not.
