Handicapping is 100% marketing. If you're a marketing man... You should go into handicapping.

Call 1-900 Tang Way I Hit 94% Of My Plays 188-12 Last 200 Games. Call Me Harsh But Ifyou Are Dumb Enough To Fall For It Than What Can I Say But Tough Luck. Nobody Put A Gun To Your Head To Call These Guys. Its All Very Simple If These Guys Knew Who Would Win Why Would They Set Up An Office And Work All Day. They Do Not Know Anymore Than Us They Are Scum And The Public Is Their Sucker. Do Not Be There Next Victim.

Gentlemen..

I have many players who use services..Its not unusual..The good ones have the ability to get info that the average player doesnt have the time or effort to investigate..Its like a stock broker and his info..These people have the time to study trends and give what is nothing more than a educated opinion as to the outcome..I would say many services are shills for marketers, but there are those that are quite good..

Also there are people who in life need their hands to be held..Decisions are tough for them, and they seek the advice and directions others can give..Its true in all walks of life..Gamblers are no different..

Everyone knows that there is no better resource than good information..You cant fault people for trying to get in on that pipeline..As a book Don Best keeps me informed the best it can..How can we fault the player for trying to do the same??..

I concur completely...

There's way more good information to be had for free on this site then any tout will ever give you. Plus Lem Banker and Chuck Sippl (of the Gold Sheet) give out free selections every week on The Larry Grossman Radio Show (available and archived at www.cardplayer.com) which a person would do just fine following. Chuck Sippl seems to go about 4-3 every week which is a solid winner and Lem has been up and down a bit but overall ahead with his selections from what I've seen (though this past week he was 2-6).

I was listening to a radio show yesterday called Linebusters (until I couldn't take it anymore) and it's so pathetic it's laughable.

Lawyers on television today---shouting to the audience: "Get the Cash you deserve" When the insurance companies hear our name--they are so afraid".

What a joke.
The best lawyers NEVER advertise.

The best handicappers (with one very rare exception--that Lem fella) keep their mouths shut!!

They call "brokers" the correct name.

Touting is all marketing! I can say this however, that all touts really do want the client to win. They do not get paid, or at least it is alot harder to get paid, if the client loses. There are some people out there that try to be honest and really do feel like they have a good handicapping system, but when someone says they have "inside info" you may as well hang up. I was a tout for almost eight long years and I can tell you the times we actually really had inside info was maybe 10 times and even with the info I can remember losing a few.

I would never pay a tout for NFL or NBA selections, because I do well on my own. When it comes to other sports though, I'm not going to lie, I need advice now and then from others, whether it's some of my buddies or whoever. Fact is, some people simply don't know sports like the majority of us here, and they want advice from others, and are willing to pay for it. There are plenty of scammers out there, but on the other hand, there are actually some touts/services that win consistently year after year at specific sports. I know some of the posters here and at other forums have solid records in particular sports, but most of them are not consistent year after year. So in the end, I suppose if people have the money to "give" to some touts, then that's their prerogative, although inexperienced bettors need to take more time in making their selections when doing so.........

I don't care one way or another. People know what they can afford. I mean if you go look in the RR, posters are talking about a tout losing them several thousand dollars. Well, look in the mirror and don't get on the tout.
