i like beerz and a fat rib eye....

A friend of mine wholesaled meat he would sell me a 10 pound rib-eye Australian rib-eye for about $40. So nice to cut into 8oz steaks, a bit of Rosemary, salt and pepper then bar-b-qued...fantastic.

my sister-n-law cooked up some chicken and used rosemary. it was like, "this half of the plate is this (i don't remember what the fuck it was) and this half of the plate is rosemary". the rosemary chicken disappeared FAST.......

it was father's day, i remember now. she was cooking on the grill outside while we were in the house watching band of brothers....

Joe Jr declares: Who cares what you pay??

And in those five words we get the right wing Repub caricature in a nicely wrapped package

If told his tax load might rise $20 a week to help facilitate wider access to that Great American HC System for more Americans, I bet we might hear, "I don't want to pay that much!"

that's 80 bux a month bar.....to facilitate giving health insurance for a large amount of folks who don't want to pay 80 bux a month because it might eat into their hbo channels....

I would personally have no complaint whatsoever with paying $80 a month in increased taxes if it helped faciliate increased access to needed health care for more Americans.

The overall drain on my community (and yours) when they do not have needed access dwarfs an easy $20 a week from my end.

you know, i'll make an easy target of myself here, but fuck it. a large percentage of people who do not have healthcare have the option BUT CHOOSE NOT TO PAY FOR IT. i know two such people and i consider them friends and we don't talk politics -- thank god -- but they have big screen tvs and surround systems and one of them bragged about how the geek squad came out last week and fixed a short because when he paid 400 bux to have the shit installed it was covered by the warranty.

how hard would it be to put a tax on those who don't have health insurance? let them pay for themselves, and they might decide to go ahead and buy what's offered to them instead of slipping into the "public option".

No one else here does any research before trying to stir the pot, so can't hold it against you, Taino:

http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/bakken.asp

snopes is simply making these claims on a speculative tip while using the word "technically". if you really read the report you will find that much more oil can potentially made available from that region in the future with technological advances. either way, thats not what i was after. like i told KB, this oil WILL get drilled.

i was trying to make a point that its going to have to be the environmentalist groups that are fighting the drilling whom are better served using their resources to aid american oil companies in finding enviromentally sound solutions to drilling waste/pollution/issues. these groups can only fight off people so long before drilling these resources becomes necessity, as oil makes the world go round.

until a alternate fuel is found you can bet your ass that every last drop of crude will be drilled no matter the cost

TOMG, I am remiss for not having followed my own first instinct after reading the pasted info in the original post. It reeked of the ol' Forwarded Email.

what would you have done if you followed your instinct? FWD to your friends? ^^:):toast::laugh::lol:

heh...Well you actually saw me at my Most Interested

I am in that (maybe not so) tiny group of internet users who has for the past nine years been a real Mr Hyde (from my usually genial Dr Heckle) when people send me FWD email spam.

Everyone gets one polite request to desist. The few who ignore that request will find that every one of the fucking hundreds of email addresses they shamelessly left visible within the FWD: FWD: FWD content are receiving the Blast REPLY ALL from your humble RxMod. And my short message therein is most certainly not friendly.

Actually made my ex-wife (who I have a great relationship with) cry and tell our two kids that she would never talk to me again after I sent out a "STOP SENDING ME THIS FUCKING EMAIL SPAM" to the 100+ people she had listed in her CC: field, though I had politely asked her THREE (yeah...she merits a big three polite requests) times to not include me in such mails.

Fortunately, that was like four years ago and we still talk a couple times a week.

I have no idea who is willing to give to help facilitate other people having better access to reliable health care.

I can only speak for myself and say that I would have no complaint paying either higher income tax or higher sales tax if it helped to facilitate more Americans having access and equally important - if it helped assure that fewer Americans would be confronted with choosing between needed health services or going bankrupt.
