A lot of these young professionals succumb to the temptations that surround the Super Bowl festivities including the abundance of loose (women); Often the "itch" sets-in. These guys can be ingenious when it come to finding ways to avert bed-checks (yes, some coaches insist) which allows them to partake in the "hunt" during the wee hours of the night We might suggest they are too-professional to fall prey to the scent of a woman...........Don't bet on [it}.

Since 2000, six teams with the NFL’s highest-scoring offense have reached the Super Bowl. Only one of those six teams won the title: the 2009 New Orleans Saints.

The 1989 49ers are the lone top scoring offense to beat the top scoring defense in the Super Bowl (Broncos).

New England, for all of its apparent defensive flaws, boasted the NFL’s top-ranked scoring defense in 2016, allowing just 15.6 points per game. Super Bowl LI will mark just sixth meeting between the league’s top offense and top defense, and according to ESPN, the top defense has won four of the last five, with the 1989 San Francisco 49ers as the lone exception.

The Patriots, of course, should know: They averaged a ridiculous 36.8 points per game during their undefeated 2007 campaign but were upset in Super Bowl XLII by a New York Giants team that held them to just 14 points. And in all four of its championship seasons, New England’s defense has ranked eighth in the NFL or better in points allowed.

Interesting....

One more add to the mix... Ace Ace pointed out. The last time an AFC team that has better overall record and favored over an NFC team and COVERED the spread.... it's been almost 40 years. 38 to be exact.

I don't see how this has any relevance

If you're my neighbor and my family beat your family for 3 generations fighting, would you put your money on our kids fighting? Of course you may, but not that confident.

Mid have thought the 99 Rams "greatest show on turf" would've been included in that list.

Theres only one reason Pats are like they are. Robert Kraft. The man behind the curtain of the NFL.

Who played the strongest schedule in your opinion
thank
richie
That's a no brainer lol. I want to know who is a team the Patriots beat that had any relevancy to it? I looked at their schedule to the top and not 1 team was worthy or was in contention. Pitt? Maybe...that score between them said otherwise though. It's a confidence booster without a doubt. Hey look! We made it to the SB! We been kicking ass and taking names! We fought kindergarteners to get there but we made. Now we have to play someone who is our equal but fought harder opponents. Hmmmmmm

Better to beat weak teams than to lose to them... Atlanta has done that a few times this season.

Yea...in the beginning. They almost beat Sea in the Clink. Lost by 2, beat em at home where it counted, beat the packers twice. Their loses weren't really blowouts in comparison to the Pats stomping mudholes in weak opponents though.

The line on the game is skewed. Atlanta should be the favorite. The fact that they're dogs is worth noting

It's crazy to think that at one point this year the Falcons were 7-5. Everyone was counting them out. Their defense really improved over the course of the year. Should be an excellent game.

I agree. I think if Pats win? It'll be in the 4th qrtr. For Atl to win they just need to play as they've been playing. May just win by 3. Who knows?

NE was dead last in strength of schedule, 32nd.
Source? I saw they were ranked 9th on a cpl diff sites. I certainly don't disagree. their schedule was a bunch of guys who all had amnesia and forgot this to play football. So they said here. Here's your trip to the SB since none of know how to play. Go represent lol

The pro's at Pregame and a couple other sources. What would be your source that incorrectly has them at 9th lol. Take a look at their schedule and tell me it looks like a 9th ranked schedule. They played a whopping 5 games against teams over.500

That's funny.

I'm good friends with a couple of the pros there and I trust their opinions and ranking sources. I'm really not trying to argue with anyone about the game. Sorry if it appears that way. I just trust my sources and info regarding the game and feel quite confident with my Atlanta pick. Good luck to all

Based on 2015 records they did have the 9th toughest SOS.
9. New England Patriots (0.523)

Those teams finished the season at (0.460)
Tied for third worst as per one site.
