I agree with statements about the fans and the student body, they're going to ignore such a moronic ruling by some bureaucrats

I'm thinking some geeks that were always the last men picked as a kid made this decision

c'mon Will that student body has been taught for 15 years that America invented slavery in the 1600's … no way they do the chant.

as I posted UGA dropped an instrumental (!) from their repertoire which was written 30 years after the civil war simply because it was used in a movie 85 years ago

The ironic thing is that this gators use this as it was a quote from a BLACK football player on its 96 National Championship team.

For fans of Florida’s athletic programs, the chant has taken on a life of its own; from numerous publications, to Gator great Lawrence Wright leading the cheer, “If you ain’t a Gator, you must be Gator bait!” during a large celebration at Florida Field following Florida’s 1996 national championship, the cheer has become Florida’s version of “Roll Tide.”

“I’m not going for it,” Wright told The Gainesville Sun. “I created something for us. It’s a college football thing. It’s not a racist thing, it’s about us, the Gator Nation. And I’m Black.”

“What about our history as the Gator Nation? We took a program from the top five to No. 1 in the country. I think I’ve done enough, put in the sweat and tears, to get to offer my opinion about something like this,” Wright said Thursday.

This shows the lunacy of what is taking place in the country. A black person was responsible for popularizing this and some idiot decides that it may be racist based on non sense.

UGA band will drop "Tara's Theme" from their portfolio because the song is used in Gone With the Wind. of course it was written by Princeton in 1898 and has absolutely nothing to do with racism or slavery but because GWTW used it 40 years later it must now cease to exist

They played this as the fans were leaving the stadium.

They should also ban Rocky Top just because it could seem racist and its another terrible song.
