Bookmakers said USC would not be a dog to anyone in the country.
Please tell us which bookmakers said that after yesterday's games were all played. You can't site statements made several weeks ago. I have sent an e-mail to Kenny White of the Las Vegas Sports Consultants asking him that very question. I doubt that USC would be favored over Florida but I think it would be quite close however.

I emailed Tony at LVSC, so let's see what they say.

If they had to hang a line, I think USC would still be favored over FL, probably -3.

They base their lines more on their power rating and pay little attention to polls. Why do you think number 1 Alabama is about a 10 point underdog to Florida ?

Alabama would be a 13 pt dog to USC....

Let's just see what/if they say on email...We're not going to agree here.

OK, You College Football Guru's. You asked for it and I will give it to you from an unbiased source. The latest Gold Sheet CFB Power ratings are as follow. OBTW, the lower the #, the stronger the team. These are the # before the games of 11-29.

1. Florida -14
1. Oklahoma -14
3. Southern Cal -9
4. Alabama -6
5. Penn St -5
5. Texas Tech -5
5. Missouri -5
8. Ohio St -4
8 Oklahoma St -4

As you can see, some of these # will change after this weeks results.

As a Gator fan, I think UF's # is slightly inflated. Percy Harvin will probably not play this week against Alabama. If true, it is a HUGE LOSS as he is the leading rusher and pass catcher. GoGators, for my friend, GoSooners. :103631605:toast: LT

Coach my friend, you will always be the voice of reason....I hope you remember that I told you at the BASH that it would be your Gators vs the Sooners for all the marbles...

LT...Good stuff...But the Gold Sheet doesn't put out the lines - although I do like their write-ups on Bloomberg...If they hung a FL -5 over USC, they'd be put out of business once and for all !

I already know many are going to read this and call him a homer but he is right, they have been.

As GoSooners has pointed out in another thread USC ALWAYS has the most talented teams. It isn't just usually, they always do. Like he also mentioned teams need to think twice about wanting a playoff because USC would win much more often than not and a playoff would take away their only bit of hope of having the Trojans look past teams and lose to a team they should beat by 30+.

Not even close....I would have thought this being an election year, that you would have put up a referendum to make USC an independent and get away from the mighty Pac-10....

Enlighten us as to who has been better than them in every year since 2002? No team has as many quality or marquee game wins. 85+% winning percentage during that span along with multiple national titles.

This does not include the year they were arguably the best team but only had a Orange Bowl beatdown of Iowa to show for it.

Hurting?

I love the selective memory of people. Lets bring up the bad calls that went against USC. Those alone would have won them the game. Even with them playing their C game, they still moved at will on the so called top defense in Texas. They were lucky to win that game & would lose 9 times out of 10 if the same exact teams met.

EGD you've got to be the biggest homer of all time. Your personal vendetta against anything anti-USC is hilarious. I wish you could see it.

Bad calls? LMAO
