I know a lot of nice cops...but I do think there is an arrogance in general that comes with becoming a police officer. I think it is necessary if you don't want to get eaten alive in the line of work. It isn't always a bad thing so as much as they get on my nerves at times, I appreciate what they stand for and the sense of security (false or not is another topic) I feel when they are around. Kind of agree with shub that you deal with it enough it grows on you....especially if you have to one up assholes all day

This is an incident that's probably not going to appear as an article in your March issue of NRA Magazine as a good example of protecting yourself with a gun saved your life. Unless popcorn has become lethal.

Have travelled many miles with my girlfriend. We have often observed disrespectful humans. I have often said to her that this mouthy human should be very careful during their life as their disrespectfulness to others might put someone over the top. I'm guessing the small disrespectfulness shown here put that fellow over the top. I'm assuming he had witnessed enough disrespect, however small.

Most at risk to lose their lives suddenly are disrespectful drunks and hot-shots who are loud and disrupt quiet people. So if you are a mouthy drunk, or just loud for no reason, you may want to make a small note here. Many time bombs around. Be kind, it's best...

.

On the show "First 48" usually it's drug dealers shot over a bad deal or a fight over a woman.

Or you could ignore the guy who is simply texting his babysitter to check on his toddler. Not let it bother you since its just during the previews. Texts do not make noise, they are a quiet and effective communication tool that is not disturbing one bit. Did anyone else in the theater have an issue or even notice the victim texting? No they didn't.

The "fellow" (murderer) you reference is a real piece of shit that WILL spend the rest of his short life in prison because he has no personal control over his mind or body.
I don't care if he was a cop, trash collector or Astronaut, he ended another mans life for no reason at all. Only because he wasn't a more "understanding" human being.

As a 36 man with a beautiful wife and two small daughters at home I will watch this case closely and root for a swift and conclusive verdict of guilty :)

I thought I heard he went out and got something to drink or to his car and got the gun and come back in but I can't remember

I saw on CNN that witnesses said he left the theater to tell management that someone was using their phone in the theater. Not a phone call mind you, a couple of texts, during the previews.
He returned without management and gave the guy more shit. I'm not sure if he went out to his car to retrieve his gun or had already had it. The cops will find out.

Who the fuck would bring a gun to a movie theater??? Its crazy.

When I first heard this story I thought for sure some dark folks was hooting and hollering during the movie which is their hallmark - then u hear it's a 40 year old guy with his wife texting his babysitter - I don't want to hear this pigs excuses or an elaborate life story of his service in law enforcement - the dude is a bad dog and needs to be put down - what kind of power tripping worthless pig brings a gun to a movie theater? - can u imagine this other shit he's gotten away with when he was a cop?

It would be interesting to hear people's opinion on what they would do if they were with their wife under similar circumstances and someone spits in your face.

The dude allegedly stalked some girl for texting at the movies weeks prior - u don't bring a gun to a movie - the discussion ends when it's confirmed he has a gun at the movies unless I hear his wife was anal raped in the bathroom and I havent heard that yet - now his new defense is that the guy spit on him? I know senior piggy first said he was attacked by the deceased but every patron said that was false - so getting spit on is the new tune he's singing - interesting

I guess the kind of guy that worries a guy might break in a door and kill 13 people during the movie.

Well, I bet 99% of us wouldn't pull out a gun and kill a guy.
