A Word Of Advice From One Who's Been Around The Block

Don't let your heart overload your wallet. Rutgers was 8-5 LY w/Rice! They'll be an avg. tm at best and won't sneak up on anyone. As far as FSU having more of a chance vs Wisky, you're being ridiculous here and letting your "homer" feelings overrule common sense. They have an off wk before they play W, just don't see a "look ahead" here. If Rutgers can get by losing only 5 gms again they should consider themselves lucky. FSU had a ton of injuries LY, they return 17 startera, 10 on O, from a tm that beat a good GT tm in their bowl game. Don't underestimate this Pat Hill tm. I'll take +7 all day. But BOL to you and welcome to the RX!

Urban likes to cover the number for the alumni. He will have no issues with RUTSing Hawaii. He will have no problem keeping TT in the game until he has lots and lots of TDs. I will play UF for the first half as I expect them to get as big a lead as they can so they can bring in the backups in the second half

1st half would be the better bet here, IMO.

In these blowout games, this is the way to go. If Hawaii covers the 1st half, take Florida the second half.

1h line should be around 17-20. I cant see Florida putting up less than 35 in the 1h. UH's D is avg at best (at home). I really think that there is no way UH scores more than 10 pts in the 1st three qtrs. Coach Mac is switching to a more balanced off. this year. Which probably means a lot of 3rd & longs. UF's D-line will have their ears pinned back & we all saw what happened in the sugar bowl with Georgia. I dont expect the outcome of this game to be any different. imo Fla. 1h is the best bet of week 1.:103631605

Maybe it is a square play, but I just can't get past the travel issues. It's 6 time zones, right? That's like flying from Gainesville to Paris. One night to catch up, and then a 12:30 EDT kickoff?

what hes thinking is that hawaii players will be half asleep at 1230 florida time since their body clocks will still feel like its 630 am.

if they are wise they will stay in bed that sat morning instead of showing up on the field for the beating they are likely to get.

line went up another half to -32.5 now.

Not saying that the travel does not hurt hawaii , because it has to. however , from what I understand the warriors will actually be arriving in Georgia that tuesday ,,They will practice wednesday and thursday there and then hit florida on friday. So the gametime start might not be as bad as some think. Obviously , it is no help to Hawaii but just thought people should know the likely Warriors schedule for that week.

Who cares about the time zone blah blah blah. The fact of the matter is you have an offensive team in florida that will put up close to 60. You have a coach who likes to cover. Hawaii has a new qb and all new receivers and florida defense has something to prove. What better than to go up against a punchless offense. The big key I mentioned before is the 2nd unit of Florida is probably better than the first unit of hawaii. Ya urban meyer may bring in another qb for some series but this will not slow them down. They are an offensive machine and the defense has something to prove. Hawaii has no offensive. The defense is not good. They have always sucked and scored a lot less points on the road. What amazes me is people hate laying a big number. I will tell you what in my 20 years of betting sports I have won 85% of my football games in which I lay 28 plus and 82% of my college basketball games I have layed 15 plus. The number is just a number. Sometimes the odds makers can not set the line high enough even if they know it will be a wipeout. If they think Florida is going to win 59-7 can they make the line 45? Big spreads have never scared me and as I said I would be comfortable laying 40 in this game. This is a total beatdown and urban meyer will not let up. Hell they scored in the 50's a few times last year.:toast:

time zone blah blah blah? That is a real factor in the outcome. The heat, humidity, new coach, no qb, new wr's, time zone, road game, swamp season opener, all these things matter and they all add up to a masacre. I hope we all cash this ticket in a couple of weeks.:hyper:

I think Florida rolls in this game, and thats just based on me playing with them in NCAA 09 for xbox 360 :missingte.

But seriously Florida has way too many play-makers and Hawaii playing early in one of the toughest places to play.

Think this will be the Tim Tebow, Percy Harvin and Chris Rainey show.

Forgive me if I'm forgetting any Florida playmakers, but Percy Harvin will explode this year, dude is unstoppable.
