6 of Florida's opponents won their bowl games but I'm sure it is just because those teams scheduled weak opponents. Funny, though, Vandy had an OOC schedule of Wake, Duke, Miami (OH). I don't see too many Div2 schools in there but they sitll managed to get bowl eligible.

Also, when was the last time anyone from the PAC10 played for a national title that wasnt named USC ? Oh yeah, NEVER. Nice showing PAC 1
Vandy lost to Duke, and Wake, and Beat Rice and Miami(OH).

Played 11 bowl teams and won the national championship? Pretty impressive on the surface. Just for sake of argument though, my Hokies played 10 bowl teams, if you count playing BC twice. I dont think simply # of bowl teams dictates the strength of your schedule. By that logic, the ACC would be the toughest conference in the country (10 bowl teams). Clearly this was not the case. There were what 35 bowl games? So 70/119 make a bowl game? Just because a team makes a bowl doesn't mean they are a "quality opponent". There is definately more to SOS than "bowl" teams.

Stick to your guns on beating #1 twice this year to become #1. Those are two wins of the highest quality!

Disclaimer: I think Fla deserves the championship, I just think the logic for SOS is flawed

Sagarin thinks we had the #4 toughest schedule and USC had the #16th. I just find it funny that everyone thinks USCw is clearly the best team when their two biggest wins were against Ohio St. and Penn St. Two teams everyone thought had no business in the title game discussion.

Two days after the BCS Championship game here's what we learned:

Florida is 10 points better than OU

USC is 14 points better than Penn State

Utah is 14 points better than Bama

Texas is 3 points better than Ohio State

Yeah, the BCS really cleared that up...

Don't debate railbird... The guy is total zero and I become dumber and dumber everytime I read his posts. I generally respond with one sentence b/c that's all he's worth to me...

Just pointing it out for people that don't think we should be #1. We played a tougher schedule and we just beat, in back to back games, the BCS #1 team. I'm pretty sure that has never been done before in BCS history.

We? Did you play Thursday? Great win!
