I was at 70%+. How was that a horrible play? I read him correctly and bet accordingly. I’ll take the bet any day. Unfortunately it didn’t work in my favor
LOL ......You were only 70 percent when the hands were turned up

I bet if I calculated it based on his RANGE you would be a dog

100%! Chop doesn't know what he's talking about. You were winning when you pushed all-in and that's all that really matters. On top of that you read him correctly. You could not have played it any better! I'm curious to get Zit's take on it, he's a winning player, as he gave Chop a thumbs up? :+clueless

It was absolutely awful :
That’s not how you judge if you made the right play or not .

It was bad by both players .
But of the 2 if I had to pick the worst of the 2 it would be BB

Terrible play to shove your stack in pre flop with 77. Yeah, he "guessed" right that he had two overcards with the AK, but even then he's looking at a coin flip. You have to consider ranges in making decisions, and not try to put someone on one particular hand.

Roughly speaking, he was maybe 40% up against an overpair (crushed) 50% against two overcards (coin flip) 10% against an under pair (crushing).
Against that range 77 is going to get crushed.

They guy could be spewing with 89 suited, and even then, you're looking at a coin flip. I'm probably folding pocket nines there, and going to have a tough decision with pocket tens - and probably would call, but not be happy about it with pocket jacks.

If the money went in preflop, you were ~51% when the money went in. I'd wait for a better spot.

Oh sorry... I see that this was after a flop of 10,2,6.

I'd still wait for a better spot. But, looks like you had a good read on him.

The shove call was postflop though...

If you all reconstruct the pot using the numbers then by the time the dude shoved after flop , I dont see what other choice you have....now you are getting 3 to 1 .
BB said the post was over 1k, so that mean it went something like this preflop
....... 2/5 raise to 25 , call, call, call, reraise to 450,,,,fold fold fold call

The way I see it is if you are gonna make such a big call preflop then when the flop comes dry like that you certainly cant fold by that point.
