uh...if i can remember, plenty of people in nola were told to break camp a good time before katrina rolled in...they didn't, not sugar-coating that what happened there, but rich, or poor, its a mother-****** to lose your home
...clown.

Lots of people in San Diego were told to leave their homes and didn't. We wouldn't hear about these idiots unless they died.

most rich people are rich because they work hard, and make good choices.

I remember reading somewhere that most wealth is inherited.

so if you worked hard and made good choices should you give that money to the state? Fuck no

or should you have the right to pass it on to your kin?

Of course you should

I assume this is true because a friend of mine evacuated New Orleans before Katrina. He said all the reports were difficult to believe, since the majority of those who stayed actually had autos available, notwithstanding they may not have had enough gas. That said, he said the sales tax revenues in the flooded wards were normal for liquor, lottery tickets, manicures, the night before landing and crack and other drug sales might have been above normal. It seems the poor chose to buy dope instead of gas and then some of them went to Congress and testified that the "poor were left there to die". I don't buy this crap. Many of us who live on the water in hurricane zones and have actually suffered tremendous loses, never looked to the government for relief. Why did we forego crack, liquor, pimp cars, manicures, lottery tickets, etc., so we could pay for insurance.

I think Id be willing to rebuild where a fire was, but dont think Id rebuild something that stood 20 ft underwater.

Both events sucked regardless who is rich and poor.

This is possibly the dumbest argument I have heard in a while....Both places are being torn down by mother nature which has nothing to do with upper class, lower class, rich or poor. Im sorry I actually have no sympathy for the poor people who couldn't move because they could of taken a different path in life and made something of themselves. Instead they are dead beat degenerates who had no where to go because they F*d up somewhere down the line, either way both suck and this is a crazy argument.
