Great opportunity for them to tank . Get a stud offensive lineman in the top 10 next year

kinda like when the spurs were fringe title contenders with David Robinson . He has a season ending injury at the beginning of the season . Then Duncan walks through the door .

The rest is history

If they really hit rock bottom
2-6,3-7
I can see them shutting him down for the season.

Can he get better ?
Will playing every week slow the process of him getting to 100%
Tough to say.

I think if he prepares like he wasn't hurt throughout the week, then yeah I don't see him getting back close to 100%.

If they do this dance of him not practicing every day, then having him show up on game day.....he might heal faster, but he's gonna continue to suck/be out of sync with the rest of the offense

I think what they are trying to do is some combo of both. They think his calf is going to get incrementally better, while also still practicing a decent amount and rehabbing. Of course they are betting that he doesn't re-aggrevate it -- which to me is dumb.

They can't open up the playbook, he can't operate outside of the pocket which is truly what makes him dangerous as a player.

I don't know, I feel like there's a lot going on behind the scenes. I think some of the players are frustrated because they didn't want him to play the first few weeks. Chase said before the season started "he should wait until Week 5 so that he is close to 100%, we don't need him until then".......... hindsight is 20/20, but he was probably right.

Sadly, I agree. It's not the worst idea.

I think if they can't pick up a win in these next two weeks, that's the way to go.

They may still feel like they can save the season at 2-4. Week 7 is the bye, then @SF and BUF back-to-back weeks

I'm not sure personally. I think they gotta figure out a way to win BOTH of these games to still feel like they have a shot.

I don't hear Burrow talk a lot of shit. He had nothing to do with the dumb Burrowhead shit that scrubs like Eli Apple were spewing

He is showy with how he dresses and that dumb shit (everyone is), but he has seemed to be pretty humble to me
Dude. He’s a clown. Not just that, but I’m tired if the NFL. Bengals exposed. They get smoked by AZ this week. I questioned burrow from the get go. Bring dalton back. Lol

Why in the world was Joe out on the field in the 4th quarter on Sunday?

Imagine if he had completely blown out his calf and was out for the remainder of the year down 24 points running the hurry up...

They weren't even running the hurry up. They were clearly not trying to win the game.

Even more nonsensical to keep him out there in that case

Who is your personal favorite QB?
Josh Allen.

With the exception Mahomes and legends like Brett Favre, Allen can do things on the field other QBs can't.

He can take a pounding even to a foolish degree without getting hurt.

Mind you, Allen has zero rings, whereas Mahomes already has two SBs, which I attribute to better coaching/supporting cast.

I do not believe Joe Burrow is durable enough to be QB in the NFL. Torn ALC AND MLC his rookie year, now these nagging calf and elbow injuries. His muscles and ligaments just aren't strong enough to take hits, which is part of the job description. And he knows it too - why he drops like a bowling pin whenever he senses danger taking the sack.

He has already accomplished what a ton of good quarterbacks couldn’t .

They need to pull burrow till he’s ok.

I have Garrett Wilson and Jamar Chase in fantasy

It sure does suck not having anyone to throw to them

What good QB hasn't so much as lost in the SB
I’m just saying the notion that he “can’t be a qb in the nfl” when he hasn’t missed a game since his rookie year is kind of ridiculous

He was a top 2-3 QB the last couple seasons. He has more career playoff wins than Phillip Rivers, who many think is a HOF (he shouldn’t be in my opinion, but that’s another story).

It would be disappointing if he never wins another playoff game, sure, but for being in the league only 3 years he has a pretty damn good resume for his career so far and a great playoff track record.

He has accomplished more than his favorite QB — Josh Allen

He’s obviously very limited right now (I think he should be sitting), but acting like he can’t play QB in the NFL for years to come is ridiculous

Burrow will probably outlast Allen and Mahomes in terms of career length when it’s all said and done because of play style

Lots of hyped flash in the pans in this league, especially when they have gifted weapons like Chase and Higgins... until DCs figure them out. Colin Kaepernak, RG3 ring a bell?

Dime a dozen.

You think a guy with constant muscle/ligament issues can last in this league? Torn this, strained that...

Burrow is glass. Only a matter of time before he sustains another injury, which unlike Allen and Mahomes, he can't seem to play through. Allen doesn't even tell anyone when he's hurt, which he was last season.

Some players are into the glitz and glamor, others just love to play...even through pain.

Watch Quarterback on Netflix and see how intense and prepared Patrick Mahomes is week after week. Mahomes is Next Level.

Andy Reid: I'm taking you out (with his high ankle sprain)

Mahomes: Fuck no!!

So what's the plan going forward for JoeyB? Draft Larry Allen, Erik Williams, Nate Newton and Flozell Adams? C'mon..

Unlike Mahomes, Allen and QBs with long successful careers like Rodgers and Big Ben, Burrow can't run and scramble his way out of trouble. Simply collapse the pocket and he becomes a sitting duck. Probably why the Ravens and Chiefs were blitzing him last season in the playoffs on nearly every play.

3 friggin' points against the woeful Titans, with an overall QB Rating of 69 - for 275m! Unreal! :ROFLMAO:

He can barely run - a sack dream for defenses.

Titans PLAYOFF RECORD 9 sacks on Joe Burrow

One of the most sacked QBs in the league...for a guy with neverending muscle/ligament issues. Not exactly a recipe for success and longevity in the NFL.

Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals | 41 Sacks

Forty-one sacks represented an improvement for Joe Burrow, who took a league-leading 51 sacks in 2021. Burrow still needs to do a better job of getting rid of the ball, as he ranked sixth in sacks despite finishing with the NFL’s fourth-lowest pressure rate among qualifying quarterbacks. Adding new left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. to Cincinnati’s offensive line should help him become more well-protected.

Or...not. LOL

Very easy to beat Joey B - simply dial up the pressure. DCs are starting to catch on.
