making you work for this selection.

oh no, tougher to get boards in the big 12

but you know what, i heard this same stuff before the kansas gt game, how kansas is going to kill gt down low, how the big man for gt can't do it by himself.

the same exact thing.

and if i had to pick kansas down low players vs osu, i would pick kansas, but i haven't looked at any of those stats either.

g tech isnt getting a lot of respect here for playing in the toughest conf in the country, power ratings that is.

i just think, texas, kansas, ttech, and a small advantage to OSU they are all one in the same.

keep digging up facts, i think we are getting somewhere.

Well OSU won the game vs kansas by 20 points so needless to say they did have a slight edge in rebounding:

Rebounds:
OSU - 41
Kansas - 25

back in 1927 the yellowjackets had a 7 foot center, and they also played a matchup zone vs a stingy OSU team.

and that game didn't turn out so well for the OSU team either.

might want to check into that.

What do you mean by this:

"i just think, texas, kansas, ttech, and a small advantage to OSU they are all one in the same"

OSU beat Texas 3 times (2 times in Texas), Kansas by 20, and split with Texas Tech (Emmitt had 32 pts despite OSU outrebounding Texas Tech 36 to 24 in their 21 point loss in Lubbock, TX).

How does OSU go 5 for 6 against 3 other NCAA Tournament teams and still get labeled as having only a "small advantage", and as being "all one in the same"?

WHAT I MEAN by all all in the same is type of team and styles.

beating texas 3 times is good, but texas beside mouton had nobody, and the head coach said he couldn't stop allen.

nevada beat kansas by 14, and richmond beat them at home. so kansas sucks, and they where playing probably their best ball against gt.

was the osu game vs KU at OSU, big diff it was.

i'd give gtech 5 easy if it was in OSU country.

the pepperdine game is huge for the fact that they have some great athletes and not much else. so to keep up with OSU showed something, and the byu game showed they will have trouble with a bi guy-center, and a zone defense.

all three that gt have.

if i could bet a money line i would probably take OSU, then take the points with tech. trying to hit both. would and could be suicide, but i don't get ml, so i'm talking out of my a** here.

hey not trying to convince you either way, i just really like both acc teams getting points.

MOUTON?

You forgot PJ tucker who averaged 6.7 rebounds per game and their Center Thomas who averaged 6 rebounds per game.

And I've already admitted that the 20 point win AT OkState was padded some because it was in their madhouse - but a win is a win...

That is one of the many reasons I expect OKState will be able to do better than kansas did.

Also about the court - I also addressed this earlier - its IN TEXAS. I dont have a map handy

but I'll take a wild guess that Texas is a lot closer to Oklahoma than its GEORGIA.

and again - the pepperdine and BYU games were before the Shoulder pads practice... as I said - after which ok State lost only TWO games. One AT TTU and one AT Missouri (in DOUBLE OVERTIME by ONE POINT)...

Also just to be clear - the center for BYU (who averages 10 rebounds per game albeit against weaker competition), is 6'11" 280, and he averages 18 points per game.

In contrast Schenser is 3 inches taller and 30 pounds lighter, averages 6.4 boards per game, and 8.8 points per game.

So I dont really even consider a BYU comparison valid here - they are just a completely different team altogether.

But I will concede that they had trouble with the BYU center for what its worth.

yea but did you see his productivity,
being what 4-4 and then 5-6 line or something like that.

very high %, well 100%, but they pick their spots and use him very well.

beating a dead horse here but it will be a great game.

yea and i watched mich take of mizzou pretty easily with out their leading scorer.

Does ANYONE think okafors stinger will have an impact on him? or will they just juice him up?

I heard on the hartford radio station that before he got "stung" again - he was a monster in practice and that he was going nuts dunking and tearing up the court.

That is good to hear (from someone on the uconn side) regardless of the injury, because normally he just humbly goes about his business blocking shots and quietly having a LOUD impcat on the game - but if this dude gets juiced up, AND comes into this thing hunting dukeheads then I think we'll be in for an entertaining game. And if the juice works I assume okafor will be up for teaching these wussy ACC boys a thing or two about putting the ball in the bucket...

GT +8.5 -188

Live by the sword die by the sword

last bet of the season - Ive tried to be smart about buying points and the moral of this season is that no matter how smart you think you are it doesnt work

one last pick

GT to hang with Uconn - thats all.

I expect uconn to win the game but GT has elder improving and they have the confidence of beating them before

I must admit I am a uconn homer but in this case I dont see them blowing out GT - a team who just got by a strong okstate team in their own backyard (well thats what I call texas anyway)

Jawpaw,

Me brother. My fellow Mainer. Sorry for the late post. I posted earlier. Wanted to say hi.

GT. got to give credit. Man they are playing ball. Could be close. Could be blow out. Possibly.??? I am the same with you however, ya. Uconn will win. (See, my post earlier) Me, I in heavy on the ML on Uconn. I just see no way that GT pulls the upset. Uconn a damn semi-pro team. Especially seeing what they can do in the second half --Especially at the end. 1 thing. -- Uconn really bad on free throws?? That could be the cover. Outside that I think Uconn wins. Gotta go go with the better player or possibly players.

Good luck my brother..
Kick the mans assss!!!
