The boss hired her and paid her too well? So well that she decided to finance a home and car and this is the boss's fault? That's what you're mad about? Sounds like your sister needs to learn how to budget.

If if a boss wants to fire someone because he just doesn't want to pay her, there's no problem with that.

so if you have a good paying job and buy a house then get fired for no reason you are bad at budgeting your money? you're smarter than that i would hope.

She should have some savings to carry her through 3-6 months. But that's beside the point. I just don't see how the boss is some kind of villain for making a business decision to save money by terminating an employee.

she has enough for probably 3 years to be honest but that is like you said besides the point. the villain is the guy evading taxes and driving his $120k car yet over 100$ a week is going to fire someone he told to quit their job and come work for him full time 4 years ago

I saw everyone but me and 1 other person in my dept get let go yesterday...reasoning: new budget and restructuring.
