oh.. the irony, after seeing what transpired the last day and a half. i can def empathize w/ what fezz has gone through. face it, there was nothing he could've done that wouldn't draw criticism one way or the other

get a mod= LVA can't pay for the expense as they have no more internet gambling revenue

who are we to complain? value it as a binary option, if you perceive the ability to post + getting his picks in a timely fashion is >= 100$ a year, you pay. otherwise, don't pay..
jesus christ, what's so hard? if your neighbor invited you to his pool party every weekend for free beers + barbecue. then one day he says sorry, i can't afford to throw these parties for free anymore b/c the i foot the bill for all the drink and food by myself and it's killing me, so if you're going to come, you must pay an admission fee.. what are you going to do? hold your breath until you turn blue?

I disagree with one account, men. Most of those bashers (not all but plenty) were Fezz's friends and people he knew. He could have told them at his convenience to knock it off. If they do not listen then bounce them. I mean it is your site and you do have some responsibility. You just can't leave an open shooting gallery. Also a few people would have liked to be mods for sure for fun. It is done on other boards I know and have seen people not getting paid do a good job. Mods could have been implemented and it would have helped. He could have found one or two mods for a price (first crack at his picks as comp?) and that would have sufficed. Please do not tell me his hands were tied.

After much more consideration than I ever dreamed I'd give this, I'm reopening these boards. There are many reasons, which I'm sure many will feel obliged to speculate on. But the most important is that I need some time to consider whether the boards should exist here or not. I'm busy with some other things, which means I don't have the time to devote to that consideration right now. So I can either leave it closed till I do, or let it live for a while. The latter seems the better choice.
Here are the things you need to know. Fezzik will no longer be hosting, or even posting as far as I know. So if the board stays open long-term, it will have a new name. Input is welcomed. There will also be a heavier moderating hand, and I'm hoping to hear, either via PM or publicly, who might be interested in getting involved and on what terms. In the meantime, we'll stay involved as much as possible and will blast or ban the authors of overly negative and needlessly provoking posts on as timely a basis as we can. And please try to leave my mother out of it.
If I've misjudged this and things don't approximate at least what we had before the carnage, I'll give a day's notice and shut down for real. Thanks.
