I read the Bengals owner doesn't even have the cash reserves to pay these guys. He is cash poor.

Looks like Higgins may be the first casualty.
No shot

Higgins will be a Bengal for at least two more years

Even if they don’t get extension done this offseason

Funny to see all the trade Tee Higgins “analysis” out there

Why the fuck would they do that?

Guess it depends on how much money he wants, they have to pay Burrow and Chase too. After their rookie deals are up they can get expensive.

Based on what some of these yahoo QBs are getting, Burrow's contract will be "record breaking". Perhaps Chase as well.

These guys are cocky AF!

NFL analyst claims “cash-poor” Bengals will have trouble paying Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins, and Ja'Marr Chase

Because they have no money to pay these guys.

They are claiming Higgins is asking for "outrageous money"
The team controls Higgins for two years . They can tag him in 2024

Why would they trade him now when he’s so cheap? Like who are they going to get that’s going to increase their SB odds at that value? The whole point is to contend now

Burrow extension wouldn’t “hurt” them until 2025, Chase 2026

Bengals can find way to pay all of them, and contracts could be separated enough where it would only really be “expensive” against the cap for a year

Best solution long term could be a 3-year extension. Higgins is young enough, and increase in cap could actually help him make more over arc of his career

Hopefully it is just a calf strain. Possible for early camp

Bummer though. Really thought he’d get a healthy preseason

Can’t give any edge to the Chiefs, as the Bengals want home field this time

For anyone wondering if there is an idiot out there who loaded up on the Bengals futures this past weekend>>>that was me! Easy early season schedule may bail them out.

They’ll win the division. Question is if they can get home field finally
