Pens in a bit of a funk lately and Carolina playing better. Notwithstanding yesterday's game, the underlying analytics back that up. So the decent overlay offers good value on the home dog imo. Plus, the Canes have a guy named Michal Jordan on the back end - that has to count for something, right?

So let me get this straight. The Islanders at home are the same price of a favourite vs New Jersey as Pittsburgh is on the road in Carolina? This seems messed up to me. The Islanders and Halak are on fire, and the underlying stats show it's not smoke and mirrors. On the flip side, New Jersey is a mess, and Schneider is not playing up to par. Jersey has been outshot in each of their last 5 games (I didn't bother looking further), including by Edmonton and Calgary, while the opposite is true for the Islanders. This game seems priced way too low for me, and feels mush as hell, so Jersey will probably win 5-1 or something haha. Personally though, unless Schneider badly outplays Halak, or the Islanders decide to uncharacteristically take the night off, I think Tavares and Co. roll.

A mismatch up and down the lineup. Big boost to the Lightning (and my fantasy team!) if Hedman returns from injury as expected. Vic broke it down better than I can in his thread.

Should be a track meet. I think the over hits by the end of the second. So expect a 1-0 final haha.
