One of the teen survivors of the Florida shooting says he's quitting Facebook because of death threats from 'NRA cultists'

Well, I know the kid is 17 but he acted like a real ass at the CNN Town Hall with Sen. Rubio. If you want to put yourself out there in the political arena and attack the NRA, you'd best bring your A game. This isn't play time any more. If you want to put yourself out there and be an advocate, you better expect 50% of the U.S. to automatically hate you.

He asked Rubio (and was pretty rude too) if Rubio would stop taking campaign dollars from the NRA. Rubio told him the NRA buys into his agenda not the other way around and Rubio told the kid he does things the NRA doesn't like or agree with but they still donate because of his agenda. He told him the NRA doesn't have to contribute to him if they don't want to.

Well, there's no denying though CNN is trying manipulate the narrative a bit. Writing students questions out for them to be read at the town hall meeting? That's unethical journalism.

I think what the kids are doing is noble but they are having some outside help. But if it starts a productive conversation, great.

I wasnt aware that CNN was writing the questions for the kids (not denying it either). I know a few people who were at the town hall meeting and was told that shit got crazy during commercials. Broward county is probably 2/3 democrats although i know more "crazy" republicans than "crazy" democrats.

I like seeing the fight in these kids. Teachers came back to school today. School starts back again on Tuesday. Gonna be a weird day

Yeah, a kid was on Tucker Carlson last night. He said he was contacted by a CNN producer who asked for questions from him to be asked at the town hall then the producer rewrote the questions and sent them back to the kid.

I know the title of this thread is about the father who was wearing a Trump 2020 tshirt and getting blasted. This guy should be getting praised. Not sure if you know this or not but he ACTUALLY met with Trump 2 days ago to discuss issues with him regarding the shooting. To me, this is the best way to get through to our POTUS. Did this work or did anything change, i have no clue but at least Trump was made well aware of.

When DJT came to Broward county last week, he ONLY visited the patients in the hospital which was about 5 miles east of Parkland/Coral Springs. He never bothered to drive the extra 10 minutes to visit the memorial by the school. I still wonder if he would have come to broward at all if his Palm Beach residence was 45 min away?

My friend, i live less than 2 miles from Douglas High school. I have 2 kids in elementary school who are zoned for this Douglass who are freaked out by this shit. I have family who work and attend the middle school adjacent to the high school. I am friends with teachers from the school, i know family members of the victims, and i know plenty of people affected by this shooting.

This isnt fake news and these kids are NOT actors

Its been crazy down here. I dont think calling me a "loon" is an appropriate term
My friend, I never said the shooting was fake news, NO ONE did. Read my post again and associate with it the post I replied to. Why don’t you respond to Greenbacks? He is the one posting shit in the thread about students being someone else.

Give Greenbacks a little time and he'll PhotoShop a pic of president shithead standing in front of that memorial.

You have one right here in your thread but I don’t see you saying anything to him. Is that because he is a “good guy”? You accused me of being a 9/11 loon with no proof because there is none. And then you don’t even apologize for your false accusation. But you say nothing to an actual “loon” in your thread because he is a “good guy”.

This thread has been a good positive discussion. Let's keep it that way.

Do exploiting one of the kids as “fake” saying he actually is a crisis actor and actually graduated 3 years ago was positive discussion? Or do you just skip over the “good guy” posts?

My post was 2 questions. Asking questions is not argueing. Why can’t you answer the questions? You are totally correct that this thread was positive discussion until Greenbacks started his shitty conspiracy theories and posting false information about one one of the students. THAT was the first stray away from the positive discussion but you said nothing. You waited until someone brought it up(something you like to do, butt in) and then can’t even respond because the “loon” is obviously your friend. And don’t worry, I won’t ever respond to you again. It’s obvious to me and many others here you are simply a “dickhead”. I used a simple term “dickhead” to describe you because everyone knows what that is. I’m guessing even the ones who like you will agree you are a “dickhead”. Now you and GB can go have a party together. You deserve each other

Jesus Christ, I didn't even read his post until now and now I'm a dickhead because I just want to keep the thread civilized? Go fuck yourself.

? Where they off duty or something?
According to CNN, Coral Springs police officers responded to the 911 calls and arrived at the school. Coral Springs is the neighboring town, just 4 miles away from Stoneman Douglas’ location in Parkland. Sources in Coral Springs described the scene and the lack of action from the Broward officers who were the first to arrive:

When Coral Springs police officers arrived at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14 in the midst of the school shooting crisis, many officers were surprised to find not only that Broward County Sheriff’s Deputy Scot Peterson, the armed school resource officer, had not entered the building, but that three other Broward County Sheriff’s deputies were also outside the school and had not entered, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. The deputies had their pistols drawn and were behind their vehicles, the sources said, and not one of them had gone into the school.

With direction from the Broward deputies who were outside, Coral Springs police soon entered the building where the shooter was. New Broward County Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene, and two of those deputies and an officer from Sunrise, Florida, joined the Coral Springs police as they went into the building.

Some Coral Springs police were stunned and upset that the four original Broward County Sheriff’s deputies who were first on the scene did not appear to join them as they entered the school, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. It’s unclear whether the shooter was still in the building when they arrived.

More information is expected to be contained in a report by the Coral Springs Police Department, to be released in about a week.

CNN released emails from a network producer on Friday that appear to contradict a Florida high school student's claim that the network scripted a question that he was supposed to ask at a televised town hall event this week.

Colton Haab, a survivor of last week's mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., said Thursday on Fox News that CNN had initially asked him to "write a speech and ask questions" for the event but that a producer ultimately scripted a question for him. CNN has denied that claim.

According to Business Insider
, CNN and Haab agreed on the question that he would ask at the town hall. His father, Glenn Haab, pulled his son out of the event after the network refused to let the student read a lengthy speech at the event.

The Haabs' also appeared to provide doctored emails to media outlets to back up the claim that CNN scripted the questions, Business Insider reported. CNN's version of the email showed that the producer wrote she wanted the student to stick to a question "that he submitted," but that phrase was omitted in the version released by the family.

"It is unfortunate that an effort to discredit CNN and the town hall with doctored emails has taken any attention away from the purpose of the event," a CNN spokesman said, according to Business Insider.

"However, when presented with doctored email exchanges, we felt the need to set the record straight."
President Trump on Thursday night seized on the claim that CNN rewrote Haab's question, calling the network "Fake News."

Two things. Now we have 4 cops waiting outside and not going in after the shooter. All the more reason you will never get me to give up my guns. From the moment we are taught in school to call the police when we need help to the constant attacks by the left and liberals on those of us that lawfully carry firearms we are told to call 911 and allow trained professionals to keep us safe. I have been saying for the last thirty years that you call 911 and the police for the crime scene. The police can't get to a crime quick enough to save us and that you have to have the ability to defend yourself. I carry two guns because God forbid I have to use my weapons for self-defense I want to be prepared. This is just more proof that you have be prepared to defend yourself because you can't rely on the police to do so. Yes, I am in favor of allowing teachers that want to carry to carry. I would rather have someone with a gun than no one with a gun if there is an active shooter.

Secondly, CNN is so fucking full of shit. You know they staged this town hall. No doubt. Just like they were giving Hilary questions for the debates. CNN has zero credibility as a "news organization".

Pretty messed up if true. I don't know what to believe anymore. If this is true I doubt they just decided to wait around. This would be an order from a superior which is tough to even imagine.
